(1983) How I
found out about the website? I have been a reader of the Midnight Sun for
over a year now. Occupation:
Computer Programmer, Spouse: Angela.
Children: I have just had my 4th child: Terrell
Marcellus January 28, 2003. He
was a 9-pounder. My biggest.
He was delivered at Shady Grove Hospital which I had my worst
experience yet. Since is was
so big, it is normal procedure for them to test his sugar level.
It was low so instead of allowing him to nurse, they tried to
bottle feed him. He didn’t take the bottle so they tried to feed him
through an I.V. Well, the I.V. came out of his vein but stayed in his foot
and caused fluid to blister his foot similar to a 2nd degree
burn. After having a skin graph on his foot, it is finally healing. He has
had a rough start into the world but is doing well. Memorable
Incidents: I remember planning a dress-up day out of the week with Derek
Bell, Ronald Tyler, and Timothy Beth.
Each week we would find someone else to join in on our dress up
day. We had so much fun! Since
High School: Since High School, I have receive a bachelors degree from
Frostburg State University in Mathematics, found my wife on the Track Team
at Frostburg and produced 4 children ages 9, 4, 2, and new born. I’ve
worked as a contractor for several companies at the Federal Aviation
Administration for the last 15 years. Future
Plans: My future plans are to raise my children with the best education I
can provide them and retire early to travel. Memorable
Teacher: The faculty member I remember the most is Mr. Decamp (Physics
Teacher). I just could not
focus in his class that made the class super tough. Comments:
Thank you Midnight Sun for your existence.
Without you, I would have lost touch with most of my classmates. From:

(1978) Hi
Folks, Hope
all you Huskies are doing well. But I am sure there are a few of you that
are overseas fighting for our country. To those Huskies I pray you return
home quickly and safely. Till
then may God bless your efforts on our behalf. For
those who haven’t heard I was married Robert Raab from 1983 to 1997. We moved to Austin Texas in 1993 and have been here ever
since. We are still friends
even though we have been divorced for almost 7 years now.
We only live a mile apart so the kids can see us both as much as
they want. We have two great
kids. Diane is 14 and Michael is almost 12. I
work nights as an RN at a local ER and love my job. I
love Texas but still miss my friends in Maryland.
Rob is happily settled down. I,
on the other hand, am still looking. Even though I am very happy with life
as it is I wouldn’t mind sharing it with right man.
But for right now the kids keep me busy with scouts, church,
school, band, guitar and just basically adolescence (theirs). Now I know what our parents went through with us in high
school. Guess that’s what
Mom meant about paybacks...... I
would love to hear from any of my old friends.
I have kinda lost touch since moving to Texas. Thanks
for keeping this site up and running. From:

(1979) Hi
folks. Hope everyone is
enjoying the beginnings of Spring. I
have had the opportunity to be in contact with two former faculty members,
Pat Hale and Meda Mitchell Lee. I
wanted to let them know how much I appreciated their patience and kindness
towards me when I was a student. Being
a hearing impaired student was not easy for me and thankfully Peary had
the first Auditory Program for High Schoolers in Montgomery County.
I had been bounced around so many different school programs because
I am hearing impaired that I never fit in.
When I arrived at Peary in September 1976 and entered the Auditory
Program, I finally felt like I was home since there were others who were
deaf or hard of hearing. I
learned sign language, which to this day, I remember.
I was mainstreamed into Pat Hale’s English class and enjoyed it
immensely as well as Meda Mitchell’s General Business class. These two women profoundly inspired me with their love of
teaching and caring about their students. My
husband Gary and I are heading down to Rockville on April 6 for a week
long vacation away from NJ where we plan to see the Cherry Blossoms and
other tourist venues. This
winter was very nasty in NJ (as it was in MD and other parts of the
States) and we just want to see Spring!
Wishing everyone a wonderful Passover and Easter. From:

(1973) I
wanted to pass along news of the death of my mom, Eleanor Pratt, who had
been struggling with the ravages of Alzheimer’s disease for the last 5
years of her life. She was
left to raise her kids after the early death of my dad in 1968, and she
became an English teacher at Rockville after that time.
She provided a welcome haven for friends and family throughout our
years of growing up. After
the formative years of bringing up her kids living on Frankfort Court, she
moved to Cary, NC in 1994. She
died suddenly on April 11, and her funeral mass is April 14 in Cary.

(1977) I
found out about the website from siblings (also Peary graduates). Occupation:
physician (high risk obstetrics and genetics), Spouse: Kevin, Children:
Daniel 14, Matthew 11 Since
High School: In chronological order, I graduated from The College of
William and Mary, where I met my husband, Kevin. After college graduation,
I began graduate school in genetics at Johns Hopkins University, but
decided to pursue genetics through medicine instead. I worked for a year,
then got married to Kevin Rossiter in May 1987. I then started medical
school at the Medical College of Virginia as he began his residency there.
I graduated in 1987 and we moved to Columbia, MD. We lived there while I
did my residency in Ob/Gyn at the University of MD Medical Systems and
Kevin did a research fellowship at NIH followed by a clinical Nephrology
(kidney diseases) fellowship at Johns Hopkins. We had our first son,
Daniel, while I was a second year resident. After finishing my residency,
I did two fellowships at Johns Hopkins Hospital, in Maternal-Fetal
Medicine (high risk obstetrics) and Medical Genetics. I had my second son,
Matthew, during my fellowship. Finally
finished training, I stayed on as faculty at Johns Hopkins until 1996,
when I went into private practice at the St. Joseph Medical Center in
Towson, MD. For the past three years I have been the Director of the
Perinatal Center at St. Joseph. My
boys are the joy of my life and I have a wonderful husband, who has been
extremely supportive all along the way. Future
Plans: At this point, I plan to stay at St. Joseph for the foreseeable
future. Eventually my husband and I hope to do medical mission work
together. He currently goes on mission trips annually. Now that our
children are getting older, we are hoping to begin going together. From:

Degree. I should have my Criminal Justice BS by July 2004.

Teachers: Mr. Clarke...what a wonderful teacher we were blessed with. I
hope I am seen as half as good at what I do, as he was at what he did (or
still does) His constant enthusiasm and buoyant spirit were always
refreshing. We really had a very competent staff at Peary overall. I have
seen so many schools where the staff doesn’t have one quarter of the
teaching resources we had at Peary. We were so fortunate whether we knew
it then, or not. Other
alums I know about? I’m living in Western PA, I am a bit “out of the
loop”. Sorry! Drop

(1979) Just
a note to let you know that our dad, Howard Rosenberg, had major surgery
on April 4th, to remove a benign mass from his upper back/neck
area. He was operated on at
Suburban Hospital and was released on April 6th.
Gary and I headed to Rockville for the week to ease his
recuperation and to assist my mother.
Thankfully the pathology report confirmed the mass as benign.
There was a silver-dollar cyst wrapped around his spinal cord and
they removed it as well as some bones.
He is a structural engineer and was able to get some feeling back
into his hands and arms to do his work.
The recovery/recuperation period will be (my best guess) a month,
but he is at home until he wishes to return to work. I
wish you all a blessed Easter. Robin From:
