APOLOGIES:
Thank you to many of you who have sent e-mails (and made phone calls) in
support of my continuing situation. As
most of you know from last month’s newsletter, I have been on the East
coast (away from MSO operations and my main computer and Peary/MSO
records) since November 6th to assist my mom with her
hospitalization and treatment (chemo) for lung cancer.
During this time, coincidently, I ran into Mr. Boteler at the
hospital and at the Giant grocery store, so have seen a lot of Mr. B! I
have not had all of the tools I need to keep everything up-to-date online
(2,500 miles from MSO’s base of ops in Las Vegas) since out East.
I want to thank you for your patience with this, but I am doing
what I’m able to with the tools/access, and software required on my
mother’s antiquated PC! So,
have posted the most timely information as I’ve been able onto the
website - www.pearyhs.org - and have
reverted to coding and programming html-coded pages manually (i.e. with a
text editor), AND a special thank you to Laura Vandevender Kneib (1973)
for assisting during this time with the technical aspects - she has
published the timely changes on the MSO website while I’ve been tied-up
with this family emergency for the past 3 weeks. All
donations submitted (THANK YOU) to MSO since November 6th will
be processed when I return to Las Vegas, as well as an update to the
online listings of current e-mail contact information.
I have, at least, been able to update the Peary/MSO distribution
address books while on the East coast - just not online (with ease) just
yet. So those of you who have
made changes to your e-mail address or have just signed-aboard the MSO
should be receiving this newsletter.
I apologize if any items have been missed in this issue of the
newsletter as well. If so,
please send us an e-mail reminder. Again,
thank you for your prayers and e-mails and phone calls, and for your
patience and understanding of why the current contact listings (www.pearyhs.org/phslist.htm)
have not been updated in a few weeks. For
those of you who know where I am and how to contact me via cell or have
the direct East-coast phone number, feel free to call, okay?
I anticipate being out here until Tuesday 12/3 (the earliest I
could get a flight back to Las Vegas due to Thanksgiving travel). Have
a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday and a Wonderful Hanukkah! | Back to the Newsletter Selections |
