(1970) Occupation:
commercial printer, Spouse: Linda, Children: Jessica R. Beadel 23, Justin
R. Beadel 20 Since
High School: The typical things like getting married, having children,
working, paying bills, divorce and doing it all over again.
For the last 12 years my youngest brother ( John ) and I started a
commercial printing company in Miami,Fl. Future
Plans: I will retire in January 2004 and leave the business to my son
(Justin) and brother. My wife and I plan live at our beach house in Ormond
Beach, Fl. for at least one year and then we will try to develop a guide
for restaurants and businesses in St. Augustine Fl.
MAYBE From:
Sandy Van Dusen <sjvandusen@yahoo.com>
(1977) Dear
Classmates of 1977/1976, I
wanted to publicly thank you all for coming out last nite to the joint
reunion event. It was a
wonderful time for those of us in attendance!
Many friendships were rekindled...in some cases; folks had not seen
one another in 25 years! I
want to extend my personal gratitude to my fellow attendees for their
kindness and, in many cases, extreme generosity.
Due to not meeting the hotel minimum for a variety of reasons, I
walked in to the event last nite standing to lose about $4,000 between me
and Neal Pizzano. Once the
bar bill was totaled and the last minute registrations tallied, the
out-of-pocket total was only $2,000 facing both Neal and I.
I humbly requested that those who could last nite please “pass
the bucket” and chip in something to lessen the blow for us.
And gratefully, many came thru for us in a tremendous fashion!
Our final out-of-pocket total was $508!!
I am blessed with these friends and incredibly thankful for their
extreme generosity. The
Class of ‘77 plans to have an event for the 27.5 anniversary in the
hopes that those who could not make it last nite will be able to do so in
the future. The venue will be
entirely different...on to casual and hopefully at the school!
I hope that many will step forward (thanks to those last nite who
volunteered!) and help coordinate this.
It works soooo much better with a full committee versus two people. We will begin work probably in the next 18 months on this.
Let me know if you wish to help and how to contact you when the
time comes. Please
keep this in mind and to ensure that you are kept abreast....make certain
you always update here at the MSO so we can find you!
You can always email me at sjvandusen@yahoo.com
as well. My
sincerest heartfelt thanks to you all! Sandy

(1964) Dear
Classmates, We
now have a committee formed but they could use more volunteers, so if any
of you could spare some time even to work on one small part please let us
know. The 2004 Reunion
Committee is George Middleton (64), Betsy Loftus Kingman (64), Candy Beck
Burch (64) and Stan Battersby (65). We’d
really like to hear from some people from 63 and 65, as well as more from
64. The committee has already
begun to look for a venue and to get some cost estimates.
It would be very helpful to have some input from you all as to
whether you plan to attend a reunion so that the committee can make an
estimate as to how many would be attending when they are making a decision
as to venue. They’d also
like to hear from you as to what time of the year or what month would be
best for you. Please
contact any of the committee members or me and let us know.
And please do consider volunteering even if you can only come to
one meeting or only take on one small job. From:
Gale Senseman Privette <gale7@juno.com>
(1966) I
just wanted to let you know that I got a call from Kathleen Hughes
yesterday that Paula Blatchley Cullen’s dad passed away.
Jim and I were both very sorry to hear that and she and her family
are in our prayers.. If
you would like to send her a card, please e-mail me for the mailing
address. From:
Kristin Lucas <kristinl@pride.com>
(1966) I
moved from Fort Collins, CO to Taos, New Mexico in July.
I am surrounded by the Sangre de Cristo mountain range and I have
stunning views from just about every window in my house.
I truly love it here. Taos,
an artist colony, is a bit off the beaten track.
The lifestyle here is considerably slower than most cities or
towns. I find it to be like
the fictional town of Cicely, Alaska (Northern Exposure) with just a touch
of Mayberry. Thank
God the sniper has been caught. I
was afraid to turn on the news at night and my thoughts and prayers were
with all of you during the ordeal. Every
time I heard reporters mention Aspen Hill or Aspen Hill Road, I was
shocked. Not only did I live off of Aspen Hill Road, many of us used
to walk to Peary along that route. From:
Jim Cyr <jcyr@sprynet.com>
(1981) I
wanted to write prior to the next mass email. John’s condition worsens
by the day and it appears he only has a day or two left.
He is on oxygen and hasn’t eaten anything in several days. As
I’ve mentioned previously, he has two small children who will be left
behind. We have tentatively
set a date for their scholarship fundraiser.
It will be Saturday, November 30th and it is scheduled
to be held in a private room at Laurel Race Track.
Doug Illig; class of 1981; has arranged for us to have a private
room. All
are invited and food and drinks will be available.
Please come and show your support.
The Peary community has been great in the past at helping it’s
own. If
anyone has a question, please feel free to contact me. Thanks
again, From:
Andrew E. Sabin <andrew_sabin@hotmail.com>
(1974) How I
found out about the website? My sister mentioned it to me several years
ago; I guess logging on slipped to the bottom of my to-do pile. Occupation:
Geologist & occasional teacher, Spouse: Margaret, Children: Meghan,
21; Katie, 18; Madeleine, 11, Claire, 4 Memorable
Incident: Stepping on and ripping my senior prom date’s dress as we were leaving her house, then getting sick later at an
after-prom party. All in all,
the high water mark in my high school social life. Since
High School: College/grad school, work, marriage, children, parenting.
My children are healthy and happy...I’ve been very fortunate. Future
Plans: More of the above. Possibly
more teaching. Maybe I’ll
become a crank like the late Ed Abbey and write anti-corporate epithets
and tilt windmills. Memorable
Teachers: I think I remember them all.
Mr. Hill’s optimism that all students could/should succeed was
refreshing. From:
Lisa Salsitz/Talmud <me@allieraye.com>
(1981) HERE
IT IS!! Finally!! The
screening for my short film “Purple Rose” is finally going to happen! SATURDAY
NOVEMBER 23rd The theater is ours from 4:30 pm to 6:30pm.
We will arrive anytime after 4:30pm and the film will be shown
somewhere around 5:00pm. (details
on parking will be on the email invitation) Location:
HOFF THEATER (next to Cole Field House) at the University of
Maryland It’s
a 30-minute short. There
won’t be any food served as I can’t feed 500 people (heheh) but we are
in the process of looking for a house to have a “wrap” after party.
Uh,,not for 500 people of course, but there will be some out of towners
etc. And it would be nice to
have a gathering afterwards. The dress is casual to business casual to
dressy. The main thing....and
most important....I will need to know who wants to come and plus how many.
There are a lot of people coming, and we have opened it up to the U of MD
students as well, so please, please, please email me your name and plus
how many and I’ll put you on a list.
You will get an email from me in another week with an invitation
once you RSVP. That is what
you should bring with you :) There
will be lots of room for lots of people, so feel free to bring friends. I do not recommend bring children as the subject matter is
not for young kids. So..that’s
about it. I look forward to
seeing you all at the screening!! This is gonna be some kind of fun!! You
can check out the film info on the web site at www.purplerose.8m.com
or just go to my site at allieraye.com and it will link you there. Thanks
again to all of you for your support and belief in me. Allie
