I really enjoy the work. I really enjoyed the nursing home but my husband was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma last year and was out of work for 8mo. He works at the hosp. and our ins. was through him so I left my job and went to the hosp. they were so good to us they got me in fast and kept his ins. going until mine went into effect. They take care of their own. My husband is now in remission and back to work.  He takes life a little more easy than he used to. We both enjoy our grand children. They are the greatest.

Future Plans: Just to work and go with the flow.

How I found out about the website? Always known about it from its concept.  Occupation: MCPS Instructional Assistant/Science Dept. and Pom Coach @ Damascus High School.  Spouse: Louis (Buddy, 1973), Buddy’s Occupation: Geographer/US Geological Survey, Children: Tracey is 21 years old.  Cheryl is 16 years old.  Brian and Kevin are twins at 11 years old.  Grandchildren: Thank God not applicable as of this date.

Memorable Incidents: You, Bob.

Since High School: I had been a stay-at-home mom until my kids were old enough to be in school all day.  I started working for the school system as an instructional assistant and coach in 1996 and am doing that now.

Future Plans: Get Bob together with the “D-Girls” so he can hopefully get it.

Memorable Teacher: Denby Zimmerman ~ She didn’t take crap off of any of us.  She told us how it would be in the business world and prepared us for it.  She also let us know how to have an office party.

I thank you, Bob, from the bottom of my heart for keeping this web page open.  High school is a very turbulent time for all teenagers.  For me, it has many memories that I cherish.  My education did not extend to college, but I learned so much as a professional before I began my family and became an at-home mom.  Once I re-entered the work force, I learned how different things are for this in high school these days.  It would take too much time to get into this, but suffice it to say, there is so much more expected of kids today than was expected from our generation.  I feel for them.

(There were about 10 kids left I think)  She still has one more year at Belmont, so we’ll see if she tries it again next year!

Well everyone, I have some unfortunate news! Most of you know, my grandmother died on Wednesday so I’ve been in Maryland till yesterday.  That was the reason I haven’t sent the email saying when the show was going to air. I know a lot of you have been asking!! :)

So, while I was taking a breather on the Internet, I noticed that “Once and Again” is now going on Hiatus till March. I’m really bummed because my episode was supposed to air this coming Friday. Some of you may get postcards in the mail. Just change the date! I just confirmed with Production that it will air March 4th. But as it stands now, my episode “Falling in Place” will be seen till March 4th. Monday at 10pm. ABC.

Sorry ya’ll. I’ll keep everyone posted, as it gets closer. Also, you can see the trailer to “Minority Report.” Publicity with Tom Cruise has already started!!

So, take care and stay in touch! And, thanks for watching when it does come out!

Subject:                Thoughts on 9/11/01

On Thursday night, September 13, my wife and I went to North Carolina for the weekend to visit the grandkids.  It was a hastily arranged trip to just be with the family and hold the children close in light of the recent events.

I didn’t even think that we were going down 395 past the Pentagon until we got near the capital. It was one o’clock in the morning as we drove by, slowing down to a crawl as we went by like everyone else on the road.  The smoke still rose from the charred remains of the south side and the glow from the lights contrasted against the smoke was quite striking.

On the rest of the trip I couldn’t get the image out of my mind, and these are the words I scribbled down during the rest of the trip.

Just Another Tuesday
It seemed like just another Tuesday
At least that’s the way it started
Then we saw the fires burning
And our innocence departed

When the planes struck their mark
First the anger then the tears
Another day we can never forget
Confirming all of our worst fears

We saw the terror in the streets
And felt the fear in the skies
Saw the pages of history turning
Right before our eyes

So what did they gain
From this huge miscalculation
Tell me they didn’t think
They could intimidate our nation

Now what do we tell the children
About this day of so much pain
Except that there was no honor here
Not one thing for them to gain

It was just another Tuesday
Forever etched upon our minds
It was just another Tuesday
Frozen in history for all time

JUST ANOTHER TUESDAY
We can never forget

Subject:  1st Annual Sun & Suds

Due to a great interest from other classmates, a group from the class of 1968 are in the beginning stages of planning what we hope will be a “successful” fun time for all to get together in Ocean City Maryland.  Tentatively we are planning end of Sept. 1st of October this year.

Details should be available in a couple of weeks. Currently, working on blocked accommodations and locating all the students. Contacts will be myself at OceanB54@aol.com, Richard Trott, rtrott@erols.com, with the help of Richard Waalkes, waalkesr@aol.com, Paul Coder, pcoder@lsassociates.net.

We need to have an idea of the number of interested in attending - it will be a blast - tentatively we will be working towards holding a late afternoon early evening happy hour at Seacrets on De Bay.  VERY CASUAL and AFFORDABLE.  If people want to know more about Seacrets, they can go to Seacrets.com on the Internet to check it out.

We haven’t had a large turnout of classmates since our 20th year reunion and this will be the perfect time and place to cut loose. Everyone needs to contact one of the above with your interest in attending and pass this info. onto those classmates without e-mail addresses listed. So far the response has been very positive. Looking forward to hearing from EVERYONE!
