INTRODUCTION Greetings
Huskies: REUNIONS:
Reunion info for classes is always accessible in your Class
Information Sections online. Most classes have an up-to-date “missing persons” list
online too—if you know where any of these people are, let your class
coordinator(s) know! Planning
is already underway for those classes celebrating a reunion in 2002, too! Watch the 1981 section for the copy of your invitation online
(mailed invitations will be sent in about three weeks for 1981).
In all cases (all classes), be sure your contact information is
up-to-date, please, by completing and submitting your class update form
online, available in each Class Info Section.
If you move, let us know. We
have about 6,500 more classmates from 1963-1986 to sign-up on MSO who have
disappeared or simply don’t know about us.
Spread the word! LAST
CALL
for “Classes of the 60s”.... remember to sign-up to attend (along with
Wheaton grads) the bash at Memories Charcoal House in Mt. Airy on April 21st!
Information will only be distributed via e-mail.
Visit www.memoriescharcoalhouse.com
and click on “Upcoming Events” for the details about the joint Peary/Wheaton
get-together. Note: Reid
Roberts (Wheaton, 1964), one of the owners, regrets to inform attendees
that the patio will not be completed in time, unfortunately, but “We
will bring it inside!” The
get-together is April 21 and you must RSVP. RUNS
IN THE FAMILY??
Victoria Oscar (1985) is still on the road with “Annie” and
probably will be for another year. Victoria has been nominated for a Star Award (presented for
national tours, from the same organization that awards the Tonys).
She’s up for Best Actress as Miss Hannigan, and up-against the
likes of Marlou Henner, Eartha Kit, Andrea McArtle, and others.
More about the Star Awards can be viewed at: http://www.nationalbroadwayawards.com—Congratulations
and good luck, Victoria! Brother
Brad Oscar (1982) has been cast as a lead role in “The Producers” - a
new Mel Brooks musical - coming to Broadway in the fall.
Brad will be performing with Susan Stroman, Mel Brooks, Thomas
Meehan, Nathan Lane, and Mathew Broderick.
This is Brad’s first principle role on Broadway.
Break a leg—congrats, with more to come, Brad! OTHERS:
Did anyone catch Paula Marshall (1982) recently on an episode of The
Steven Weber Show? Allie Raye
(AKA Lisa Salsitz/Talmud, 1981) has great news in this issue, landing a
role in a Spielberg film! You
can see Mig O’Hara (1977) in “Jane Austen’s Mafia” (rent the tape)
as the magician’s assistant who is eaten-up by a tiger! Let’s
watch for Emmys, Tonys, Academy, and Star Awards awarded to some of our
alums in the future! DONATIONS:
Thank-you to the two individuals who have mailed donations in the
past month to support this project. This
project is now “good to go” through the end of June because of them!
We hope to hear from the 90% of alumni listed on MSO (that we’ve
never heard from) by way of financial support so we may continue this
4.5-year-old operation. Mailed
checks and online Visa/MC charges are accepted.
If you’ve been considering sending your support, now is a good
time. Weigh it with what this
has meant to you... re-established contact with old friends and teachers,
the monthly newsletters and updates from alumni, reunion information, and
more. The project and all of
the information is accessed and available 24x7 for “nothing,” but
maybe many don’t realize that there are bills to pay to have it there on
your computer screens. This
is a user-supported project—no subscription or membership is required to
access the information (nor hopefully ever).
Thank you for your consideration of financial support for MSO.
There are approximately 3,000 classmates listed/signed-up on MSO
(out of 3,385) that we have never heard from.
A few dollars from those classmates at this time who have enjoyed
this project will help keep it running for many more months.
We hope you’ll take 5 minutes or your time after reading this
newsletter to help support the Midnight Sun Online. CONDOLENCES

to the front of our former PHS building.... and see how you can advertise
in the commemorative printed program for this event, from Thelma Husband
Glowacki (1969). Details in
this newsletter. The

28. “Submit an Article”
