have a beautiful new dog, named Lakota. I had to put down Southpaw last
year. It was very sad but she died peacefully. I adopted Lakota on Saint
Patrick’s day. I found him shaking in a cage given up only hours before
I found him. I was with a co-worker and we both had green hair!! Well
he’s been with me for almost a year now and he’s a great dog! Since
High School: working, Taking care of Lakota. From:

(1983) Hello
Fellow Classmates! Just
a short note to let you know, that I’m continuing to keep the database
for our class (Class of 1983). Just
wanted to drop a line and see how my fellow classmates are doing and would
love to hear from EVERYONE! I
haven’t had much time to give towards the reunion (I do know that
another classmate is already started on getting a reunion going), because
I’ve been working 2 jobs trying to get caught up on those nasty bills
:-)... We all know what THOSE are like, right?
Anyway, I would love to hear from you and I will help out Dee
McIntyre anyway that I can (if she wants help). If
Jeff Davis reads this, I would love for him to forward any and all
pertinent information on our fellow classmates if he could. If
there is anyone who knows where Mary Jo Wurdeman got off to, I’d love to
know.. I’ve been looking for her for about 12 yrs now. Catch
Ya Later, Peeps! Patty
Toler From:
Bradley “Skip” FitzGerald <fitzskjr@msn.com> Danny
Harwood, Peary-‘76 coached Magruder High School to the 4A Boys State
Basketball Championship over Eleanor Roosevelt 70-58.
His team finished the season undefeated at 27-0 and ranked #1 in
the Washington area. “WOW”! From:
mark wellman <mwellman@arl.army.mil>
(1972) Hey! You
should include the band “Sookey Jump” in your events calendar.
Rob Kilgore, Peary class of 72’, is the lead singer and the group
is exceptional. The have a
blues CD out but I can’t remember what label.
Make sure the alumni get word of it. From:

(1981) How I
found out about the website? Received a forwarded email concerning our 20th
year class reunion. Occupation:
Episcopal priest Memorable
Incidents: soccer and track practices; senior prom; talent show 1979; Mr.
Peary Contest 1981 (ack!) Since
High School: After graduating from Williams College, I lived 2 years in
Japan; England briefly, then resettled in the Houston area to do science. But it was not to be, not long-lived, at any rate.
I soon felt pulled in another direction.
After more studies in Japanese language/lit/culture, I went to
seminary in Berkeley. I was
ordained to the priesthood in 1997 and have been serving in the SF Bay
area since then. I now serve a mainly Japanese-American congregation in the
city. Memorable
Teachers: Mr. Gibbs—school plays; Mr. Black—I looked up to him for his
morals. From:
Ed Holten <edholten@yahoo.com>
(1984) I
found out about the website from a friend.
Occupation: Artist / Systems Analyst, Spouse: Margery Albertini,
Children: Anthony age 3, Dixie age 5 (Boston Terrier) Since
High School: Not making as much Art as I should.
Faked my way into a career in computers, now I can’t get out! Future
Plans: Get a really cool haircut... unfortunately I’m slowly realizing
this is a dream I’ll never fulfill. My
wife and I will be in a Two Person show at Gallery 402 in Manhattan. The
show features our artwork. Come
to the opening on 5/2/2001 6-8p.m. Free
wine and snacks. If you are in the neighborhood stop on by the address is
19 Hudson #402 Street New York, NY it is in TRIBECA. I received a Virginia
State Commission of the Arts Grant for sculpture this year.
I will blow half of the $$$ on lodging in NYC. From:

(1971) The
purpose of this note is two-fold. #1
I am really bummed that I won’t be able to attend my class reunion
(‘71) again. BUT, (#2) I am
proud to announce that I will be participating in the Avon Breast Cancer
3-Day instead. Julie Jason
Marquis (‘82?) said it very well, in the February newsletter, as she
listed a handful of the horrors of the disease.
I would like to add that I have a number of friends that are
survivors and I’ve lost a few in recent years from this illness.
This is my second year participating in this event and it is truly
one of the most gratifying and emotionally uplifting experiences a person
can have. I
volunteer for the crew work. Route
Marking to be more specific, So
watch for those BIG YELLOW SIGNS and the “Burma Shave” style jingles
we put up to guide and encourage the walkers! And Honk and wave to us if
you see us out on the road, I’ll know who you are!
Lastly, if you wish to donate to this event, please email me and
let me know how I can get you a letter, a form and a stamped envelope to
submit to the foundation. Oh,
and if you have somebody you want to remember, I’m writing names on my
shirts so I’ll be reminded (at 3 AM) why I’m here!!!
Many thanks! Corinne From:
Corinne Smith Grant <Corigrant@aol.com>
(1971) I
found out about the website ages ago from classmates.com (I think). Occupation:
Student/ housewife/ friend, Spouse: Bruce, Children: None, unless you
count the cats. Elway, Annie,
& Goku Memorable
Incidents: Hard to say, HS was sort of a fog for me but the best times
were in the A Cappella Choir and Madrigals.
Music has continued to be a source of sustenance for me.
I had some great friends and am slowly reconnecting with them via
MSO online. Since
High School: I horsed around quite a bit after school. No real focus, just
working at Giant and then restaurants and bars in The District.
Met a few nice people along the way and just tried to find out who
I was. I met a great guy in
1979 and we were married the next year.
Just celebrated our 20th!
I’ve been taking classes at George Mason Univ. and I’m
somewhere in my junior year. I’ll
prob’ly start focusing a little more on a teaching degree more for the
purpose of private/volunteer tutoring.
This seems to follow with the Basic Literacy I tutor in now.
Life is good. Future
Plans: More of the good stuff! Bruce
and I hike and climb, mostly in Colorado where we have some property in a
little town called, Estes Park. We’ll
retire there, hopefully sooner rather than later. Memorable
Teachers: Mr. Hubbard, our choir director.
A lovely man, who never judged, and was always there for us. Mrs. Luck, she let me know I wasn’t a “ditz”. I’ll
miss seeing so many of you at the class reunion this year.
I missed the last one because my Brother-in-law (husband to Lynne
Smith Theodore (‘75?) died unexpectedly.
PS Lynne is now remarried to a super guy, Bill and she is Lynne
Shaughnessy! Th-Tha, Th-Tha,
Th-That’s all folks! From:
Lisa Salsitz AKA Allie Raye <Afunnygirl@unforgettable.com>
(1981) I got
a role on “Minority Report” a film directed by Stephen Spielberg,
starring Tom Cruise!! It shoots in LA and DC!! The kicker is, that the
role I read for is not the one I got.
Spielberg saw my audition tape and wrote a brand new role in for
me. And now I’m shooting for three days the last week of March. This is
the most intense news I’ve ever gotten. It’s a fox
production/DreamWorks. Here
is the web page where you can read about the film. It’s got wonderful
publicity already and interviews are flying with Tom and Stephen. (Yes,
first name basis already huh? Hmm..can I really get used to this. I’m
MS. RAYE for Pete’s sake!) http://www.spielberg-dreamworks.com/minorityreport/ Anyway....I
wanted to share the news. From:
Bonnie Ledford Stapp <bonniesapp@mmcable.com>

perhaps work as a consultant, and share my time between Florida and
Oklahoma. From:
