Memorable Incidents: JFK’s assassination; My Fair Lady

Since High School: College (U of Md); raising my family, for the most part in Wash. DC area; usual professional activities; recreational and physical activities; fairly active religious life

Future Plans: More of the same

Memorable Teachers: Warrick Hill...a real man and a great teacher. Also, fond of Blazek, Luck, Proett, Hinds, Zampogna, Pine, Marton, Burlas, and Williams, and probably others.

This site is a treasure. Please, keep it up. I look forward to meeting everyone, soon.

I found out about the website from Sandra Richards.

Occupation: CPA

Since High School: I spent the first four years after high school in the military. I went to U of MD for my undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting right after that. I’m currently working for a CPA firm in Rockville and will be graduating from American University’s law school next spring.

Future Plans: I’d like to continue working with my current employer but transition into their tax department.

Since High School: I got married in 1983 and have been a stay-at-home mom since 1988. I am a billing manager for a Doctor in Gaithersburg who lets me work basically whenever I get the chance. I coach my daughter’s basketball and softball teams and am very active in all my kid’s sports. I play co-ed softball with my husband and friends.

How I found out about the website? Sheer brilliance.

Memorable Incidents: If you don’t know, I’m not going to tell you.

Since High School: I’m a big liar anyway, why even ask.

Future Plans: Get better at things I’m good at. Expand my horizons.

Travel more.

Memorable Teachers: Ms. Laura Burstiner (now Mrs. Rosen, I’ve heard), a real sweetheart open to helping young talent grow; Mr. Gibbs—an interesting teacher, biting sarcasm and dull Kenneth Clark films notwithstanding; Mr. Travers—a good man. For more see the book.

I’m a bit stunned by how many names I don’t recognize on the alumni list, and by how many names I would recognize that I don’t see there. Then again, you probably don’t remember me either.

Memorable Incident: that mr boteler allowed me to pass which permitted graduation. i’ve since heard that he was under great duress due to this or i would have come back. Interesting.

Memorable Teachers: of course messr’s clark and boyd but, nawrocki convinced me to wear a seat belt in drivers ed and i’ve walked away from two majors, without air bags, jarred teeth and sore, but walked away.

Other alums I know about? brent runnels was a professor at Rollins college in winter park, fl a while back

Since High School: I moved to Georgia 3 years ago and have re-entered the workforce in the education field. I work in a prestigious, private Catholic High School.

Future Plans: I am coming to Maryland for the summer, to attend some college courses

Memorable Teacher: Ms. Hale, I compare her to some of the “good” teachers I work with now.

Since High School: moved to New York after high school, went to college for 2 years, moved to Utah after traveling across country, ended up in Lake Tahoe and have been here for 20+ years. I some how became a heating contractor.

Future Plans: to enjoy my family life with my wife and 2 boys, keep playing the real estate game, get out skiing more, contact/keep contact with friends new and old, keep on going on

Memorable Teachers: Mr Gibbs; great teacher, great plays. Mrs Luck; caught me at everything (almost). The electronics teacher; can’t remember his name

I found out about the website from a Classmates.com advertisement on iwon.com. Spouse: Glenn, Children: Courtenay 31, Grandchildren: Madison 4, Carter 3 weeks

Since High School: Married, raised daughter, divorced after 17 years, moved to Charlotte, NC, met current husband. Moved back to Maryland (Annapolis) and opened retail store. Sold the store to move to Florida and see my grandchildren grow. Jacksonville is only okay; Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina are much prettier. I will enjoy the weather here, though.

Future Plans: Watch grandchildren grow and enjoy life with my husband.

Memorable Teachers: I really don’t remember any that much. When I hear the names, I remember what they looked like and maybe what they taught. I do remember Mrs. Richardson whipping around and saying “hello” if someone called her name in class. And I remember a very small alligator in a cage in Mr. Campitell’s class.

I have enjoyed reading past newsletters to see news of others from my class. I attended the 20-year reunion and enjoyed it. The next time I will try to attend again if I hear about it.
