(1975) DeeDee’s
Mom passed away on September 20, 2000.
(Sorry this was not put in for publication sooner!)
She’d been married to Mr. Jump for 55 years! Wow!! Dee, her
father and her sibling were there surrounding her with love when she
passed. Mrs. Jump was a very
special, loving lady who will be very missed. From:
Pamela Forder Holcomb <pamelajean57@excite.com>
(1975) After
eleven years of being home for and with my children (and volunteering more
hours than I can count), I have an “outside of the home” job.
I am at the Frederick Target while my son is in kindergarten ...
so, technically, I am still home for my children.
I am having a great time and have wondered why I did not leave the
stressful environment of the office and get into retail sooner.
Need to go shopping? Come
to the Frederick Target and say “Hi”. From:
Pamela Forder Holcomb <pamelajean57@excite.com>
(1975) Man,
I’ve been away from the website far too long.
While cruising down the main page, I noticed “tragedy in the
Carter family”. John Carter
is my brother in-law. It is a
very small world. When
my mother was ill from brain cancer, my father was given the name and
phone number of a woman whose husband had died (also) from brain cancer. Daddy would call from time to time when he had questions
about special needs. After
Mom passed, Dad took this lady to dinner to thank her for her help in
answering all his many questions and appropriately directing him to what
he needed for Mom. Six months
later they were married and held their wedding reception at the same
restaurant they had first met for the thank you dinner.
My stepmother is a truly wonderful lady and her youngest daughter,
Debbie, was John’s wife. What
a great guy John was. Having
attended Peary HS, how could he be anything else?
:) I had
no idea that John and I had attended the same high school.
Debbie misses John more and more as time passes and their son,
Brian, gets older. We all
miss him. It is indeed a very
small world. From:
Janet Darr Puyot <Puyot@cber.fda.gov>
(1969) First
of all, Happy New Year. I
just found out at Christmas that my daughter is having another baby.
My daughter is big into scrap booking and made me one for Christmas
of my grandson. On the very
last page there was a picture of future baby - June 2001. This will be my third grandchild. What a great Christmas gift.
Hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and may 2001 bring you lots of
happiness. It brings me
closer to retirement. I
really enjoy reading about what is going on in each person’s life. From:
Patty Holmberg Dame-Ball <ravengirl@verizon.net>

(1964) To
60s grads: Last month we
heard from a lot of you who are interested in the Party on the Patio to be
held on April 21, 2001 and your names have been added to Reid’s email
mailing list. For those of you, who are new to the MSO, welcome aboard.
If you are interested in a Peary/Wheaton reunion of 60s grads, you
can let Reid Roberts (Wheaton ‘64) or me know.
Reid has set up and email mailing list and the first message has
already gone out to all those Peary and Wheaton folks who have contacted
him. Reid had a patio
constructed on the side of his restaurant and if the weather is good when
we meet on April 21, we can have an outdoor cocktail party on the new
patio. You can contact Reid
at Memchhouse@aol.com or by going
to his restaurant website (www.MemoriesCharcoalHouse.com)
and clicking on the button that says “contact us.” Or you can send me
an email and I will see that your address is added to our mailing list. We’ve
had a great response so far but the more the merrier so be sure to let us
know if you are interested. There
will be no postal mailings about this event and details will be sent by
email only. Please pass the
word on to your friends who don’t have email.
You can also visit the restaurant website and click on the section
called “Upcoming events.” Even if you aren’t sure yet if you will be
able to attend on April 21, 2001, why not sign up anyway so that you will
receive the email updates and learn more about the details.
I hope we will hear from more of you this month. From:
