Subject:   Thanksgiving

Just a quick note. I have a house-full of company right now but wanted to send this off.

I just wanted you to know I’m thinking of you, & wish you a very happy Thanksgiving!!! I also wanted to let you know that my daughter Jessica [was] in the Macy’s Parade. University of MD marching band [was] the first band! The flag twillers (silks) [were] to the right of the band & she [was] the white girl in the row of 2 at the back/bottom of the V formation. Of course she looks just like me so she’s easy to spot. Well, like me so many years ago.  Deja vu all over again!

Love,

Jenny

I found out about the website from my older sister, who found it while searching for her school website.

Occupation: Homemaker/Refurbisher (Temp. Position) Spouse: William, Children: James Robert Anderson - 34, Michael Frederick Anderson - 31, Christopher Edwin Anderson - 31.  Grandchildren: Zachary James Anderson - 2 ½.

Memorable Incident: Hanging our Principal in effigy. You know they were only bluffing about not graduating us, don’t you?

Since High School: Too much to list. Married young, divorced young, raised three children (two severely handicapped). Had lots of jobs (some positions, too), returned to school and was graduated with honors from Penn State University Class of 1989. Served on various committees, boards, and two terms as borough councilperson. Now happily remarried, and pursuing the best in life - reading, writing, gardening, and surfing the net when the weather is bad!

Future Plans: Hire on with Federal or State Government. They don’t seem to get taken over, restructure themselves, or merge with other organizations too often.

Memorable Teacher: Mrs. Luck, Plane Geometry teacher. She taught me Math. And she taught confidence. She had confidence in her ability to teach and confidence in her students’ ability to learn. Even me! Without her instruction, I would never have made it through College. Liked her, too, even if she called me ‘Kerns’!

Wish I could get a copy of ‘64 Yearbook. Mine was destroyed in a fire years ago.

Subject:                Wheaton/Peary Party on the Patio

To 60s grads:  Last month we heard from a lot of you who are interested in the Party on the Patio to be held on April 21, 2001 and your names have been added to Reid’s email mailing list.  For those of you, who are new to the MSO, welcome aboard.  If you are interested in a Peary/Wheaton reunion of 60s grads, you can let Reid Roberts (Wheaton ‘64) or me know.  Reid has set up and email mailing list and the first message has already gone out to all those Peary and Wheaton folks who have contacted him.  Reid is having a patio constructed on the side of his restaurant and if the weather is good when we meet on April 21, we can have an outdoor cocktail party on the new patio.  You can contact Reid at Memchhouse@aol.com or by going to his restaurant website (www.MemoriesCharcoalHouse.com) and clicking on the button that says “contact us.”  Or you can send me an email and I will see that your address is added to our mailing list.

We’ve had a great response so far but the more the merrier so be sure to let us know if you are interested.  There will be no postal mailings about this event and details will be sent by email only.  You can also visit the restaurant website and click on the section called “upcoming events.”  Even if you aren’t sure yet if you will be able to attend on April 21, 2001, why not sign up anyway so that you will receive the email updates and learn more about the details.  This will be a fun evening and you’ll get to see all your old buddies from Wheaton who many of us haven’t seen since we went to Belt.  I hope we will hear from more of you this month.
