PARADE MAGAZINE: Personality Parade, April 15, 2001 Q:
You said Danny Nucci was dating his “Snoops” co-star, Paula Marshall
[1982]. I bet my husband an expensive dinner that their romance would not
last any longer than that TV series.
Who wins? A: It’s
your turn to pick up the tab. “We’re not just dating - we’re living
together,” Nucci, 32, tells us. What’s more, he boasts that their
careers have flourished since they fell in love. Nucci now stars in the
CBS sitcom “Some of My Best Friends,” with Jason Bateman. And
Marshall, 36, is on The Weber Show” and developing a pilot with Paul
(“Mad About You”) Reiser. Ain’t love grand? [Found
and forwarded by Ed Gursky, Class of 1965 - Thanks!] GOOD
LAUGH:
Yours truly was cast earlier this year by casting director Suzanne
Broderick (out of L.A.) for a setup on NBC’s “Spy TV” when they shot
episodes in Las Vegas. The
reality TV series airs on the network Tuesdays at 8p and Thursdays at
8:30p. Similar to a Candid Camera.
My airdate unknown (possibly August 7), but keep an eye out
throughout August for the episode about a “lucky/unlucky day trader.”
P.S. Yes, the Asian accent is phony (hey, in-character, Mr. Wong,
the Chinese food order/delivery guy). The twist: “Pork and rice. Coffee
- No Sugar.” DONATIONS:
MSO has received enough funds from donations by you to continue only
through October 2001. A mere
11.5% of listed alumni from 1963-1986 have supported the project
financially. If you’ve been
able to contact an old classmate/friend, enjoy these monthly updates, have
used the website to obtain your reunion information and other Peary-related
events, we hope you’ll consider supporting this 5-year effort.
If you’ve been doing “pretty-well” in life, we hope you’ll
consider Mr. Burlas’s
challenge that was presented this past April (information at
http://www.pearyhs.org/text/benefactors.html),
and consider an investment as a “Benefactor” to continue this project. All
other donation information and methods are available online, including
acceptance of Visa or MasterCard payments.
We need your support for this to continue beyond fall 2001.
The average donation in 2000 was $66.
The average donation to-date for 2001 is $47. ANY amounts are welcomed at this near-critical time.
Even $5-10 from each who have not yet supported MSO (more than
3,100 of listed alumni) would ensure this project for a VERY long time,
i.e. (3,100 alums X $5 = $15,500). The average annual cost over the past 5 years is $2,300.
Do the math.... almost 7 more years of MSO if only we had this
support from every classmate listed with MSO.
There are no required subscriptions (hopefully there never will
be). The website and
newsletters come at no cost to you, but it costs MSO for hosting,
registrations, online services, and software/hardware support.
Thank you to those who have helped and have continued to support
MSO over the years—we would not exist without you. Also,
the local archive of the entire operation is nearly out of space. If there are any hardware resellers out there who wish to
donate equipment, the MSO could use a USB hub with USB-type hard drives to
back-up (but still with quick accessibility) years of information/files,
please contact us ASAP. An
alternative to this would be a Pentium machine (even a Pentium motherboard
with minimal memory at this point) to serve as a drive server for some
existing SCSI drives. Either
way would help with the storage of MSO’s accumulated data. Thank
you for your consideration. We
celebrate our 5 years of existence next month!
Let’s make it to 10 years. Purchase
a Peary Polo Shirt, order a Gustafson litho of Camden Yards or Redskins
Stadium, order a Cookbook from Homecoming 2000 -- all of these sales
support MSO! The
deadline for next issue of the Midnight Sun Online is Saturday August 25.
