Teachers: Mrs. Luck, for passing me in Algebra, Mr. Bragonia, always a

Janice Holliday McCort <Janmc4@aol.com> Occupation:
Stay at home Mom/Independent Sales Consultant, Spouse: Robert,

daughters. To help support my
basket habit and keep in business a little, I began selling Longaberger
products which is something I truly love and agree this company does
stimulate a better quality of life. I
love making a bit of money and staying home with my children. I am a girl
scout leader/organizer for 4 years now and have another one entering girl
scouts next year. Been living in Southern California since 1991 and would
love to get back to the east coast one of these days. You can only take 75
degrees and sunny for so long! Just
kidding, we miss our family and friends and have been gone too long. From:
Andrea Rosenberg Martinez <KeeweeNcompany@gateway.net>
(1978) 2
weeks ago Mr. Neil Pizzano visited Brooke Grove Elementary School and gave
an official weather report during morning announcements. He then proceeded
to my children’s classrooms- first my son’s 1st grade, then
my daughter’s 3rd grade- giving wonderful presentations about
weather instruments, weather predictions, and how to become a
meteorologist. The children (and the adults) really got a lot out of it.
This weekend, my son and I watched a thunderstorm approach. As it began to
hail he said, “there must be a lot of low pressure”-Neil’s lesson !
It was only after the intense winds died down 15min later that we
discovered the TORNADO had missed us by just 2 houses! The neighborhood
was lucky, just some property damage and a lot of snapped trees-but no one
was seriously injured. From:

(1965) I
keep looking in the news articles for Class of ‘65 news.
Once in awhile Eileen sends something in. How about more of you sharing a little something of
yourselves now and then. Anne
Hoffman McKee lives in Maine and made it down for the reunion last
August....we all had a great time. She
came down again in May and nine of us were able to gather for lunch:
Ann Hoffman McKee, Gail Williams, Gail Sensemen Privette, Eileen
Brown Carter, Jackie Masalona Simpson, Pam Littlewood, Phyllis Burbrink
Veillon, Terry McPhillips Quick and Ceal Pernia Curran.
Ironically, it was at the same hotel where the reunion was held.
Later in the week, Michelle Ondek Curtin and her husband Greg had
Ann and myself over for dinner. Boy, is she a great cook and they have a really lovely home.
We didn’t leave there until after 11 pm for the drive back up to
Gaithersburg. Getting back
into Annapolis the next day was a real trip...got turned around in
Gaithersburg, got lost in Rockville, and still managed to beat Annapolis
traffic (it was Naval Academy Graduation Day).
Had a great time and am looking forward to getting together with
more “classmates” this summer. Try it...you’ll be glad you did! Ta,
Ta for now - Ceal From:

Sept. 1990 husband was transferred to Athens, Alabama.
Spent 5 years there. During
that time, I was finally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.
July 1995, Mike was transferred to Phoenix, Arizona.
We had 5 ½ years there. While
in Phoenix, I went on disability, as I am not able to work at all now.
We are on the move again. Mike
was just transferred to Louisville, KY.
So far we like it here. If
you haven’t noticed, we joke that we are on the Bechtel 5 year plan.
Seems that way anyway. Just
enjoying life with my husband. He
is my best friend, and the best thing that has happened to me since
graduating. My
sisters: Patricia Lynn Hurd Bryant (1970) and Linda Kay Hurd Gill (1972) From:

school. From:
Diane Hirsch <ddyi@shani.net>
(1977) I’m
moving back to Maryland with my husband and three children, after living
overseas (Israel) for 16 years. We’d be happy to hear from any Huskies
with ideas about apartments and jobs. In
terms of apartments, we’re looking for a 3-4-bedroom townhouse. Our
first choices for location are Rockville, Gaithersburg, and Olney. We
don’t know yet where Dan (my husband) will be working (more about that
in a minute), but our two boys are already registered at the Jewish Day
School in Rockville. If anyone knows of a townhouse that would be
available at the beginning of August, please contact us at ddyi@shani.net. Dan
works here as a technical writer for software companies. He has already
sent out a resume and has even had some interviews (he was in MD for a
week), which went well. Still, we’d like to keep our options open until
he actually signs with someone, so any additional ideas or advice in that
area would be greatly appreciated. Looking
forward to running into old classmates. Maybe I’ll see everyone at the
reunion! From:

Wish I knew! Spouse: Angela
Beaumont, Children: Niklas Anton 3 years old, Christopher Alan 8 months
old Memorable
Incident: Graduating HS a year early in the same year as my brother Robert
(alias Bo). Since
High School: Floating through life pretending to be a highly educated
professional. After leaving Peary the first few years of University were a
breeze since we used a lot of the same books. After almost getting kicked
out of University I went on to get my BA in Political Science. I achieved
this monumental feat by spending almost a year in Zuerich, Switzerland,
where I learned German. After my return I needed only 3 credits or the
fulfillment of a minor requirement for up to three semesters of a
language. Well, needless to say I took the first three German language
courses all at the same time and got my degree.
This lead to the German language department noticing me and
offering me a two year scholarship for a Masters in German Language and
Literature, starting with a one year scholarship at a German University.
Well, it was a better plan than I had, so I accepted and spent the next
several years living in Germany, getting a Masters and starting my first
marriage. After
three years I had the Masters and had shed the wife. Time
to enter the business world!!! Started
in Telecommunication in D.C. and after a couple years got to know my
current wife, a German national through contacts from my year long visit
to a German University. During my stay at the D.C. telecoms company, I
also pursued and received another Masters in Business and Information
Technology from Johns Hopkins. Lotta work, I can tell you - two and a half
years of hell. Got married a second time, the right time!, and then moved
to Germany to try out life there. After eight years in Germany working in
the telecoms field and two kids later, I am now in Croatia working for the
same German company (former state-owned monopoly) in one of their
subsidiaries. Future
Plans: I would still like to get a PhD and move to a University or some
other teaching profession before I am fifty and spend the last twenty or
so working years on something more compelling than international business. Memorable
Teacher: Mr. Hill for being the most enlightened teacher I ever met in
allowing students to realize their own potential. From:
Chris Perlick <cperlick@hotmail.com>
(1975) Kelly
Perlick, daughter of Chris Perlick (‘75) and Kathy (Norton) Perlick

after Kelly’s departure. From:

people in the mood today for a bonus question?”
Also, Mr. Clarke hitting people’s desks with a yardstick and
playing bagpipe music during tests. Wonderful music in A Capella Choir and
Madrigals. I still remember most of the words!
Mr Gibb’s dry and somewhat caustic sense of humor.
Where are they all now? I’d love to tell Mr. Gibbs and Mr. Clarke
that I teach both English and history these days. Since
High School: What a question! After
getting my BA in English and Spanish at Mary Baldwin College, I received a
graduate degree in English from the University of Virginia, and I have
been teaching for 10 years. I
moved to England 3 years ago, and married here in 1999. Future

organizes and leads specialist tours in Europe. We’d love to arrange a
trip for Peary graduates! Memorable
Teachers: See above notes on Mr. Clarke and Mr. Gibbs. I also thoroughly
enjoyed my English classes with Mr. Travers - an excellent teacher and a
kind soul. My high school experience would not have been as rich without
the singing opportunities that Mr. Peerless provided.
I’d love for him to know that I’m still singing in a choir now. From:
