From:
Anna-Margaret “Peggy” Jordan <miladymitsia@yahoo.com>
(1967) I
found out about the website from the message board on classmates.com. Occupation:
Administrative Assistant, Spouse: no spouse/significant at this time,
Children: (daughter) Jordan Brooke Rash age 17 Memorable
Incidents: building/painting the set for “Death of a Salesman”; “storming” the Senior Court when we were Juniors; class
trip to
Blue Knob, PA; Senior Prom; graduation; Mr. Roberts’ history and
sociology/economics classes; Mr. Gibbs’ drama class Since
High School: went to Frostburg College, Frostburg, MD 1967-68, decided
that I really didn’t want to be a teacher, and quit; went to work at
Bowen & Company, Inc. (on Rockville Pike), met a guy at Ocean City,
and eventually married him in 1969. He
went into the Navy and was stationed in Charleston, SC.
We had a daughter, Jordan Brooke, in 1984.
We separated in November 1991, Brooke and I moved to Phoenix, AZ in
June 1992, and returned to Charleston, SC in May 1994.
Brooke will be a senior next year, and is looking into colleges -
either the College of Charleston or Winthrop College (Rock Hill, SC). She goes to West Ashley HS, and is in the band.
She plays the clarinet and is a member of the flag line and winter
guard. I am Administrative
Assistant to the Yard Superintendent and the VP of Operations at Detyens
Shipyards, Inc., here in Charleston.
I have a semi-nonpaying hobby as a graphic artist and I volunteer
for various children’s charities. Future
Plans: My best friend moved to Alaska recently and I hope to go there for
a visit soon. Other than
that, with Brooke graduating in 2002, and planning on going to college, I
will probably still be keeping on - doing whatever I can to put money
aside...and hopefully not losing sight of what’s important in the
process. Memorable
Teachers: Mr. Andrew Roberts, because he always made his classes
interesting...I still love history, and he even made sociology and
economics fun. He was
“touchable”...you could go to him with almost any kind of problem -
personal or class-related and he would listen.
I hope he is still around, because I would like to thank him for
being a part of my school years. Mr. Vincent Gibbs, just because.
He was such a interesting person, and he had some fascinating
stories to share about the movies and plays we studied.
I worked with him on “Death of a Salesman” and I loved to to
just watch him in action...directing a scene...motivating the
actors...attempting to convey to apparently color-blind stage crew members
the difference between the color of paint we came up with and the color he
wanted...just watching (with pride) as his students finally pulled it
together and used what they had learned from him.
I hope he is still around, because I would like to thank him for
being a part of my school years. Other
alums I know about? Sorry - I did have an address for Chris Buppert, but
I’ve misplaced it........his mother graduated with my father from
Coolidge High School, and I got Chris’ address from Mrs.
Buppert, through her reunion information.
If I find it again, I’ll update my info. Since
I live in SC, I have not been able to make it to any reunions...I’m glad
to have found this website so that I can sorta keep in touch...I also glad
that to find out what happened to REPHS and the Peary artifacts (I got
this from Coach Burlas’ site). If
I had known that I would “never see” Peary again, I would’ve saved
at least a pad of REPHS notepaper from the school store.....my daughter
thinks that I should have at least a t-shirt from my alma mater, since I
have one from hers...do we have any REPHS t-shirts? From:
Bob Ibach <Bobdunk@aol.com>
(1966) Friends
and colleagues: From:
Constantine ‘Mean Dean’ Peters <meandean@deanpeters.com>
(1977) Yup,
some of you have been wanting to do this to me for years, and now it’s
happened. Only I did it to myself. WHAT
? Okay, for those of you non-techno-weanies, getting ‘nuked’ is a
popular term for taking one’s website and implementing a content
management/portal system known as PHPNuke. For
those of you who aren’t familiar with content management/portal-like
systems, you need only visit sites like SlashDot.org to get an idea of
what I’m talking about. Basically it’s a place where registered users
(don’t worry it’s free) can post articles, weblinks, submit reviews
and basically talk about stuff of common interests. So
with that, I’m inviting you to my site. If you like the topics and
stuff, sign up ... if not, that’s fine too. The URL is: Enjoy
! From:
Eileen Brown Carter <ecarter236@aol.com>
(1965) I
realize that we as a class have donated money to the MSO but I think since
there were 295 in the class we could at least donate a little more.
Even $15.00 would help so if all classmates donated that much then
think of all the money the MSO would have to keep in contact with all of
our classmates. I realize
there is not 295 still on this earth but there are at least 75% of us
still kicking. On
another note I have through classmates.com located Nancy Hendershot but so
far have not received a response to an email I sent her so if you would
like to contact go to classmates.com and you can send her a note.
Also have located Heather Jones she is also listed on
classmates.com but so far no response to an email I sent her.
If you would like to contact her you need to go to classmates.com
also you could contact her brother through her.
Bob thank you so much for doing my missing list. Everybody
have a good month both May and June.
I monitor my email close so if there is someone not listed on the
email listings on the MSO just contact me and I will see if I have any
contact information for them. Have
a great weekend and happy memorial day to everyone. From:
“Rie” Leimbach Crowley <riemike@dellepro.com>
(1976) http://washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A67814-2001May23.html This
message was sent to me by my sister in Washington D.C. The article is
pretty powerful and is worth the time to read. I
wonder how many of you have had the same experience; ask a young person
what the meaning of Memorial Day is and they don’t really know. After
having just spent some time with my father reminiscing about his time on
Omaha Beach during the invasion, we need to make sure that ‘we never
forget’ what all of these men and women have done for us. Rie Dear
Friends and Family - The
front page of the Style section of The Washington Post today (Thursday)
has an article about Carmella LaSpada from No Greater Love - an
organization we have done gratis printing for many years for.
If you get the paper, please read it.
If not, you can get it online at www.washingtonpost.com,
click on Style, click on A Moment of Remembrance. We
did the printing that she refers to - doorhangers, wallet cards, poster
and flyers. Think this is an
event that all should be aware of and take a part in. She
is one hell of a woman! QUICK
