I found out about the website from my brother, Richey. Spouse: Lauri,
Children: Todd 26, Heidi 24, Britta 16, Ben 12, Zack 6, Katie 2

Memorable Incident: Getting locked under the stage before football
practice by Ed Gursky. Bob Pelicano (1967) and I were "forced" to watch
the girls modern dance club practice from our under the stage
perspective - neither one of us complained but Coach Laneve went wild.

Since High School: B.A. from the U. of Md. Master's in theological
studies from Wesley Seminary. Served as a United Methodist minister for
14 years. Was granted permission by my bishop to return to school -
received another master's degree in counseling and psychotherapy. Have
been connected with the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Md for
the past 11 years as a therapist in the Behavioral Health Department.

Future Plans: To continue to take things one day at a time.

Memorable Teachers: Mr. Williams (Bill Bill) for his Presence. Mr.
Roberts and Mr. Judd for their humor. Mr. Wilkins (Wee Willie Wilkins)
for his SIZE! When I walked into his geography class for the first time
in 1960 I realized he was the largest human being I had ever seen at
that point in my life.

Hello all Husky alumni. I was wondering if anyone has property for rent
in Ocean City. My husband and I are moving at the end of October and we
are having a hard time finding a year round rental property. If anyone
has a house or townhouse available even if it is just until May please
e-mail me at meenie@webtv.net or my mom's at ocdiva@webtv.net. Thanks,
I hope to hear something soon.

Subject: AIDS Memorial Quilt Panel

A few of you know that I have spent recent years doing volunteer work
with the NAMES Project - AIDS Memorial Quilt, doing Education/Outreach
work for the National Capital Area Chapter as the Coordinator of the
Schools Outreach program. In recently reviewing my work with the
Project, I realized that I have personally lost in the neighborhood of
18 friends/acquaintances to this horrendous disease, four of whom were
Peary graduates (those that I know of, that is). Because I can
personally attest to the power of the Quilt as an effective educational
tool, and because I would like to carry on the memories of those we have
known who have died of this disease, I am seeking the names of any women
or men (Peary students/graduates/faculty/staff) so that I can create a
special Peary panel in their memories for the Quilt (now numbering over
43,000 panels on the 52-ton fabric Quilt). So, if any of you are aware
of any classmates, alums, staff members who you know have died from
complications resulting from AIDS I would appreciate your sending their
name(s) and any other persoanl information about them that would enable
me to include their name on the Peary panel, please contact me with the
information at: Ralanpine@aol.com The Quilt is too vast now to display
in its entirety but smaller displays are always occuring; I would plan
to utilize our Peary panel when I do my HIV/AIDS education in schools
(K-College) in the DC area. Hope you can help me out! LOL, Bob Pine

allowed me to graduated from ASU in '86, phew! Since moving to Arizona
in '79 I have worked in various capacities for Motorola and presently am
on the Iridium Launch team. We travel to launch sites in CA, Russia and
China to prepare satellites for lanch on our contractors rockets. It's
been so much fun, I hope I get to do it till I retire!

Future Plans: Plan my retirement. It should include plenty of travel,
fishing and camping.

Memorable Teachers: Mrs. Luck. She was a teacher who could be tough and
still communicate her compassion for her students. Mr. Hill. Without a
doubt one of the most human people I have ever met.

Best of luck to all and may the Good Lord bless you as He's blessed me!

I married Pamela Sue Roskilly in Des Moines, Iowa on October 2nd, 1999.
I had attended Peary High School in 1978 before moving to Iowa City,
Iowa and am an accountant. While growing up in Maryland during my
childhood, I met many friends. It has been a great pleasure to
"reconnect" with them and others by email and phone. While I played in
band (clarinet) for many years, I had great times of many people.
Please keep in touch. Thanks so much for the best of times.

Subject: Prayers for recovery.

My brother, Alan Scott Carey, graduating class of 1969, needs prayer
for his son, Mark Austin. At the tender age of five, he has been
dianosed with lukemia. He is currently in Hershey Hospital; Hershey,
PA, and will soon undergo bone marrow transplant. We praise God that
Mark's sister, Jessica, was a perfect match. Your prayers for healing
are needed and very appreciated.

My husband, Bob Brogan, is also very ill with liver disease and I am
requesting prayers for healing and strength for me and my children. We
have been going through quite an ordeal with this illness and we
appreciate your caring and kindness.

Thank you to all my many friends and classmates across the miles, I
know I will always have and keep you. God bless.

Goodbye Alaska ... hello (again) Virginia. It's good to be back in the
"lower 48" ! Don't get me wrong, I'll cherish my memories of Alaska,
but I won't miss those winters one bit !! (I really shouldn't complain
about the Alaska winters because I spent most of them visiting with my
sister, Jean (class of 76) in Florida). I am keeping my same email
address Alaskalee@aol.com just for old times sake. Along with
relocating, we added on to our family... Jason Wade Lee was born August
11th - weighing in at 9 lb! My three boys keep me busy - Jason, big
brother Jonathan Wayne (3) and husband Rich (old) ! I'm now about 5
issues behind in reading the Peary Newsletter, but immensely enjoy
catching up with the ongoings of my fellow classmates whenever possible.

Subject: Vietnam POW speaker

I am looking for the name of the convocation speaker (not the
commencement speaker) for 1973 (may have been 1972 or 1974, but I think
it was 1973.) He had been a POW in Vietnam and spoke about his ordeals
at the "Hanoi Hilton". I remember being very impressed with his
strength to endure the torture he went through, even though I couldn't
understand at the time why the US was in the war to begin with. Can
anyone supply his name? If you or your mom saved all the programs of
every high school event, I'm sure his name is on the program.

Thanks!
