(1978) How I found out about the website? My brother, Keith Minnick (class of 1976) sent me the information. Occupation:
Social Worker, Spouse: Dale, Children: Brian Alden Goodemote - will be 5

ones I have to this day. I
also enjoyed singing in the A Capella and Madrigals Choirs. Since
High School: I went on to college and have been a Social Worker for the
past 18 years. I primarily
have worked with children and adolescents, mostly who have been
abused/neglected and/or who have severe emotional/psychiatric
disturbances. I also have
worked with the developmentally disabled and with heroin addicts in
Baltimore. I married a
wonderful man, moved to North Carolina and have a beautiful son. I have recently started my own consulting agency,
specializing in intensive family preservation.
Life is good! Future
Plans: To continue doing what I am doing. Memorable

He was honest, fair and I always felt he truly cared about the

Chelsey 9. Occupation:
I’ve mostly been a stay at home mom but spent the last 4 years working
part time as a teacher aide at my youngest daughter’s Catholic School.
This is my last year so that I may spend more time
teaching/training in Taekwondo. It’s
been a very challenging and exciting year for my family.
My husband volunteered for a year at Mt. Fuji, Japan so that we may
stay in San Diego while my older daughter is completing high school.
We’ve been blessed for going through it—he was selected for Lt.
Colonel, USMC, and will return to a 3-year assignment at the recruit
depot, San Diego, the place we plan to retire. The
kids and I are returning to Rockville for the first time in 5 years during
Memorial Day weekend for the wedding of Doreen Dennie (1980) and Jim
Hinkleday (1979). I’ll definitely take my kids by to see Peary.
We didn’t have an ocean view like they do, but lots of great
memories. Future
Plans: Get my husband home and train hard and test for my 3rd
degree Black Belt. Memories:
I will never forget Mr. Clarke and the love of history he gave me
and Mr. Kale for giving me a “D”, or as he said, a graduation gift,
birthday gift, christmas gift, ..... And of course, the great friends,
poms and competitions, parties, sleepovers, my purple gremlin, doing the
morning announcements with Ken Thomas, and on and on.
Too many for my old brain to think of. From:

really use our new snowmobile! I
worked for a wonderful company, The Jack Morton Company, and a terrific
boss, who also happens to be a Peary alumni...yes I mean you, Yvette! Future
Plans: Get our new house built soon...as I understand it, I’m in for a
ton of “company” and to convince Yvette (and Mr. Morton) to open an
office in Portland. (We were
such an awesome team!) Memorable
Teacher: Mr. Hill...he used to let me out of class early to see my
boyfriend. I
would just like to say, because I know she’ll read this, Y....get
packing and get up here! We
can set up an office in my house and spend our lunch hours swimming,
getting some sun, shopping at LL Bean...and in the winter we can ice skate
on the lake. I’ll teach you
how to do toe loops! And when
all that’s done, we can complete our payroll.
But you know, I think we should change it to a monthly
payroll...that way we’d have more time for playing! I think I can win
Norm over to my side....we’d be that much closer to Boston. From:

(1978) Dear
Class of 78 Yicks,
can you believe we are turning 40 this year?
I can’t. Everyone
that I work with and know is surprised they place me at mid 30.
Perhaps all that “yellow snow” I DID not eat! I am
no rock scientist and I haven’t won the Pulizer Prize YET , but I do
believe I have a good life. My
parents are trying to sell the ol homestead - right down the street from
our ALMA MATTER! ( Corner of Arctic Ave and Oriental) so if anyone is
interested I believe it is being offered thru Hennesey Realty? I
suppose I am writing this in therapy for getting over turning 40?
I wonder if any others are out there feeling the same way - Let me
know! I
have a good life, a wonderful husband and fantastic 6-year-old “ALL
BOY” and three great cats. I
have a good job that I like and have been fortunate to travel a lot!
SSSSOOOOO there you are. I
would love to hear from any of you others. Juliet From:

Incidents: Why, the creation of the Elevator Maintenance Crew, of course!

on) come to mind. But my best
memories of Peary are of the great, crazy times I had with my friends. Since
High School: I have spent my entire working career at NASA/Goddard working
on really cool projects. My
family life started out a bit rocky, but now I am VERY happy wife my wife

Teachers: Mr. Hill. All
around great person. I
remember his voice, character, anecdotes, and lessons better than probably
any other teacher I have had. Ms.

sense of humor. The Elevator
Maintenance Crew (and Aurora) tested her often! Hey,
I only just now discovered this page.
I’m sure I’ll come up with more over time. From:
Beth Leimbach Swanson <HBWWS@aol.com>
(1966) Alan
Stovitz’s (‘66) mother passed away on Tuesday, May 3.
Alan’s sister Dale McNally is also a Peary alum, I believe. Services
[were] on Friday, May 5 in Kensington, MD at Resurrection Lutheran Church,
and the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the House
of Ruth in Washington, DC. I
guess one of the hardest parts of all of us getting older is losing so
many of our classmates parents. Anyone
who is not on good terms with their own parents may pause and realize what
their passing may one day mean to them and try to reconcile.
Those of us who are still in a good relationship with our parents
should probably give them an extra hug while we can. Beth
Leimbach Swanson ‘66 From:

the Office Manager. Memorable
Teachers: I no longer have my yearbooks & such, as they were lost
during a move but I do have memories of certain staff members. Mr. Green -
Playing my flute was what I enjoyed most while in H.S.
I cannot remember her name, but my sophomore English teacher -
because she was always getting harassed (for what I saw as “just
because” teenager stuff) even though she was a good teacher.
Another name I cannot seem to remember, but my Geometry teacher
(& wrestling coach) - because he had so much enthusiasm for what he
was doing This
is great! I am thankful that
my cousin made me aware of this site.
In
just a quick overview this morning I already recognize four people. From:
Bob Ibach <Bobdunk@aol.com>
