He was right! I have been happily married now for 12 years to Duchess Mundon (1984) and we have three beautiful children; Jessica (10), Kelley (5), and Holly (4). We live in New Market, Maryland where Duchess has operated a wonderful daycare business for the past five years following the birth of our son Kelley. (Of course, up here everyone calls her Carlynn...who's that?) She had worked full-time as a Juvenile Probation Officer for the State of Maryland following graduation from Towson and now works part time for Juvenile Services Emergency/Night Intake. I have been with Omni Hotels for the last ten years and am currently the Property Operations/Facilities Manager at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. I have enjoyed working in the Hotel Industry and hope to continue to grow in my career. On a very sad note, we recently suffered the sudden and tragic loss of Carol Mundon, mother of Duchess (1984), Duke (1980), and Queenie (1981) in May of this year. Many old friends came to offer their condolences to the family. You know who you are...Thank you! We are missing her! For those of you who remember my Father, Mr. Gardner the Math Teacher, he is doing very well considering the many health problems he has had over the years. He retired very shortly after Peary closed in '84 with health problems (I still say that he just didn't want to work anywhere else but Peary). He enjoyed hearing that several people had listed him as a "memorable teacher" in some of the past Newsletters and thanks you. Man, I love to talk about ME!!! (but enough is enough!!) My hat's off to the people who keep this page going... Thank you. Now I want to hear from some old friends please! ********** From: JUSTIN H. I hope everyone has had an enjoyable summer. Things here in New Jersey are doing well. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the 20th Class Reunion. I have been in touch with Gay Laurienzo-San Severino and she informed me that her mom, Sharron, is now living at her sister Jill Laurienzo-Coleman (81)'s residence in New Market, MD. Sharron has been recovering from various ailments related to her cancer, but hopefully, she is on the mend. As it is August, thoughts do turn to the school year starting, and it hard to believe that September will be here before you know it. It has been 23 years since I entered Peary as a sophomore in 9/76. I was just a month away from my 15th birthday and the daunting prospect of High School was in my face. I must say that I am one of those people who truly enjoyed my stay at Peary. I am glad to say that out of those years, I have many wonderful memories and a best friend of 23 years - Gay, who has remained a part of my family as I have in hers. This is the 3rd anniversary issue of MSO, and I want to thank Bob, as always, for his spirit and leadership in communicating this with all of us. ********** From: Dave Johnson dej64@erols.com (1982) Date: Mon, 9 Aug 1999 Subject: Update I found out about the website from another alumni.
