INTRODUCTION
Greetings Huskies!
MARCH FUND RAISER: Photos and lists from the March 20th Fund Raiser for the MSO will be posted shortly! Again, we wish to thank all of our alums online who have generously supported this project! And, it would not have been successful without the wonderful organization of the fund raiser's chairperson, Melissa Davis Strosnider (1982), and the contributions by all the members of the committee. Thanks, also, to those who have recently contributed since they couldn't make it last month, or have just joined us!
REUNIONS: Check for updates at the website for reunions this year: 1969, 1974, 1979, and 1984. Progress continues with plans for the joint 1963-1965 reunion (see updates in this newsletter) and the 1980 reunion to be held in 2000. Take a moment to browse the respective "missing persons" listings and help the classes' reunion and search committees track these folks down! Each class has its own informational section and/or link to a class-specific website.
REMEMBER: CANCER RIDE.... Visit www.onevoiceusa.com and read about Bobby McQuin's bicycle ride from San Diego to Virginia Beach - a ride to fight childhood cancer - that began March 15. Bobby is the son of Beth Sanchez McQuin (1978)... and the RACE-FOR-THE-CURE... Beth Leimbach Swanson (1966), a 28-month survivor of breast cancer invites all Peary classmates to participate in this event, its 10-year anniversary, on June 5th. WHO'S HERE?? Amazingly, many who visit the MSO website don't realize there's an updated e-mail listing of all signed-up alums according to graduation year. For the most part, this listing is updated several times a day (and at least once a week). You might want to bookmark this page in your browsers. Spring attracts "lost" alumni, apparently, and there are a lot of new updates in this month's issue of the newsletter, so we'll keep this intro brief! As of this writing, there are 2,128 classmates aboard the MSO — let's find the remaining 8,000 or so who passed through those halls from 1963-1984 and get 'em aboard. Thanks for spreading the word!
