I found out about the website from my co-worker Marjorie Shulman (class of '79). Occupation: Secretary, Spouse: Kevin, Children: Stephanie Nicole (Age 5), Grandchildren: Not that old yet!

Memorable Incidents: High School Prom. When Kathy DeVries and I got caught smoking in the girl's bathroom.

Since High School: I have been working for the Federal Government for 19 years now. Got married (first time in 1984). Divorced. Married again in 1992 to Kevin Lyons (graduate of Wheaton - our rivals) Had a daughter on December 1, 1993.

Future Plans: To continue to expand in my government career.

I enjoy this site. It is wonderful to know what has become of my former classmates. Keep up the good work!! I am married with two daughters. My oldest attends Va Tech. My youngest is 10 yrs old. My husband, a Commander, will retire from the Navy after 20 years. I am a Marketing Coordinator with our local paper. I can't believe I graduated from Peary 24 years ago—where does the time go????

Your site has been totally responsible for enabling me to renew a great e-mail friendship with Joyce Mathias Lee ('78) as she lives in Alaska, and we would otherwise only have stayed in touch once every five years. It's also enabled me to regain contact with Beth Sanchez McQuin ('78) and several other classmates and, for that, I am extremely grateful. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to send a contribution — I do plan to send another one in the very near future. You've done an incredible job with the site and I hope it continues well into the next century!

Bob,

Please express our special thanks to all who have responded to and made our 1979 website such a hit. Particularly "The Crew", Lisa Stein and Mary Fegan, for all they have done to get the data gathered as well as their "special" input and ideas. The websites been viewed by over 750 people since its opening on January 15th of this year. Thank you to all the grads that have sent such great letters and pictures, keep 'em coming!

A truly special thanks to all '79 grads that wrote their Congressmen and asked " Please hold off the NATO bombings until Alvey and his helicopter team leave the Kosovo area!" I guess it worked. Ironically enough, we will fly out of here on March 16th, the exact day of the new deadline to restart peace negotiations. We here know there is plenty of work left to be done in this area of the world, but my boys and girls have been here long enough, and we will hand over the reigns to 1-4 Cavalry, a worthy successor to our past accomplishments. We feel bad about leaving, but then again they won't have to really drag us out either. Thanks for all the heartfelt and supportive letters and packages from Peary Alumni, friends and strangers alike. We really did our best. I am REALLY ready for a reunion this Summer back in civilization.
