From: Robin Rosenberg Aiscowitz FAAChick1@aol.com (1979) Date: Tue, 29 Dec 1998 Subject: Spring Fling & Other News

Greetings fellow alums. It is a rainy day here in New Jersey, but the "sun will come out" and soon the Spring Fling will be here. For those of you who have not seen your fellow classmates in a while, it would be worthwhile investment of time and memories. For those of you who are like me and remember your days at Peary with love and laughter, then this event is for you.

It is a short drive up I-95 to reconnect with those who share some of the same memories. I am making a special plea to those Class of 79ers who want to see their friends after 20 years!!

I will show off my adopted hometown of Atlantic City as best as I can. It's not just Miss America around here. We have a minor-league baseball team (The Surf) and we may be getting a minor-league type football team in the year 2000.

NOTE: You must make your own reservations at the hotel. If you want to send me payment for the dinner, feel free to do so. When you e-mail me, let me know how many guests will be attending, along with food choice, and I will need your e-mail address & class year (for class coordination).

Future Plans: Planning on going back to finish my computer degree. Also planning on taking a course in Web Design and HTML Coding. I want to be able to design webpages.

Other alums I know about? Well, if anyone has any information on Mary Joanne Wurdeman I would love to hear from you. Also, if there is anyone from the class of 1979 who could tell me the whereabouts of Michael Hopper and his wife, Jana, I would like to hear from you as well.

Comments? Just that I hope we all get everything that we ever wanted and expected in our lives.

From: Marianne Marchand Beck ('83), Matt Beck ('82) mariannebeck@yahoo.com Date: Tue, 29 Dec 1998 Subject: Update

My husband, Matt Beck (class of '82) and I live in Germantown, MD. We finally built and moved into our dream home in August. I am currently a fulltime Mom. Our son Tim is 8 and his little sister, Kylie is 4. Next year when Kylie is in Kindergarten, I will go back to work. Doing what - I don't have a clue. It should be a challenge going back to the work force after 6 years of being my own boss. Matt is very busy with work. He is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for John Laing Homes (Washington Division). In his spare time, he coaches Tim's basketball team and rides bikes with the kids. I do volunteer work at Tim's school and our church. We are pretty busy people with a full and happy life. It is fun to catch up with old friends vis this website. Please, email us. We hope see alot of our classmates at the fundraiser in March.

From: Kimberly Winning King mark.king16@gte.net (1985) Date: Tue, 29 Dec 1998 Subject: Update

I graduated from Wheaton High School and found out about the website from Melina Mahassel Bates. Occupation: Real Estate Settlement Administrator Spouse: Mark

Memorable Incidents: Parties at Melina Mahassel's house every weekend with all our friends. I look back and appreciate that everyone basically got along pretty well, probably because the amount of students were so few in the last several years.

Since High School: Working, working, working. I went to college part-time for a while and also worked at the same time. I met my husband when I was 19 years old, and he was 24 years old. We went out for 9 and 1/2 years before we got married on April 27, 1996. He grew up in Damascus, Maryland, and graduated from The Bullis School in Potomac, MD. I still keep in close touch with all my old friends, Debbie Travers (now Mendiola), Andrea Fischer (now Squires), Melina Mahassel (now Bates), and quite a few others.

Future Plans: Work, work, work, until my husband finishes law school. Then I will let him work, work, work. Hopefully we will start having kids soon before we are ancient!

Memorable Teachers: Mrs. Glass, my art teacher for 3 years. She was a great influence on my life. I still have many art projects that I do when I am not working. Mr. Hill, my Business Math teacher. He was a very genuine person who loved to teach, and did it very well. There were many students who respected him a great deal.

Since High School: I've been married since 1986 to my wife Heidi (a Rockville H.S girl!). Heidi is a full-time mom, who keeps very busy with our four absolutely wonderful kids (Kristen 12, Ashley 10, Kelsey 4 and Jake 2). I have been working full-time as a Realtor since 1990, and have had the good fortune to work with many Peary alum's (mostly Classes 1982-1985). We built a new home in Germantown in February of 1998, where we currently reside.

Future Plans: The never ending pursuit of balance between home and work!

Memorable Teacher: Mrs. Hale- (10th grade English) Never seemed to like the cheerleaders in our class

Other alums I know about? Will keep it in mind, I keep in touch with many of the later year Peary graduates.

Excellent job on the web site. I contacted an old friend, Frank Hastings, who I had not heard from or seen since 1982. To keep it brief, Frank has been living in Texas since 1982. I found his name and e-mail address on this site. We made contact with each other last year for the first time in 15 years. Frank visited here 10/97, we spent 3 days together going to the Monday Night Redskins/Dallas game (he's still a Redskin fan), visiting with old friends and places friends and places. Since that time we have stayed in touch via the phone and e-mail. We will be planning a Redskins game for 1999. Thanks once again.

My daughter Kasey and I compete in competitions all over the country. Kasey is a sophomore at USD high school. She'll have her license in March but will drive a little green toyota instead of a purple Gremlin! (anybody remember that car? We fit 14 poms in that car one night!)

I've been trying to locate Kim Stahl (Class of 81). If anyone knows where she is, please send me the info. Thanks and Happy New Year to All!
