Memorable Incidents: Haveing Tom Turner and Joe W. as best frends.
Since High School: Toured the counrty and partyed alot, then woke up broke at age 22. Landed a job with Montgomery Co. Fire Rescue. just past my 12th year (12 more to go til retirement). Married a beautiful woman from St. Louis and had two kids. Now i'm living in Hagerstown (Mayberry) raseing my family.
Future Plans: Going back to school. getting promoted to LT. coaching little leage. Grabbing hold of that thing they call "The American Dream"

This is a wonderful website! I found out about it through Steve McDonald (78). Bob Lau, you did a tremendous job in creating this. It is quite thereputic and it brings back so many memories, not just of Peary, but further back tham that. Since 1997, I have truly been blessed with my wife of 14 years, Mary (Springbook 80') and five precious children: Delair, Jr. (11), Anthony (8), Jennifer (8), Julia (3) and Charlie (9 months). Memorable Incident: Senior skip day in Ocean City
Since High School: Worked, married, baby, divorce, worked, worked, worked, baby, (no marriage), worked......worked....worked.....
Future Plans: To work till I drop or marry a rich man, which ever comes first.. retire to a house on the beach in North Carolina, and live life to its fullest.
Memorable Teachers: Mr. Hill, Mable Thomas, and Mr Boteler. Mr Hill was able to reach a part of my mind that was untouched. He taught me the meaning of try, try again. Mable Thomas was the first person ever to catch me smoking in the bathroom and it scared the —— out of me! Mr. Boteler was pure entertainment!

I found out about the website from a search. Occupation: Training Professional, Spouse: currently separated.
Since High School: Moved to Oklahoma. Graduated from University of Oklahoma B.B.A. Worked and lived in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Moved to Baltimore in 1991, and to the Philadelphia area in 1993. Went back to school. Earned Masters degree in Training and Organizational Development from St. Joseph's University in 1997. Worked at Educational Testing Service in the SAT Program in training and staff development. Currently I am the Director of Staff Development and Training for the Jewish Employment and Vocational Service (JEVS). JEVS is a major social service agency with offices throughout Philadelphia.
Future Plans: I am thinking about teaching part-time at a local community college. I will be going to London next year. I hope to become reacquainted with my friends from high school whom I lost touch with a long time ago!!!
Memorable Teachers: Mr. Clarke and Mr. Boyd, because I liked their classes.

I found out about the website from Terry Brooks. Occupation: Self employed Tax Consultant, Spouse: Rhett, Children: Matthew Ellinger 21, Laura Goby 7
Since High School: I've been self employed for the past 16 years as a tax consultant with my professional certification as an Enrolled Agent. My husband and I relocated from the DC area to Naples Florida 4 years ago, which is when I lost touch with many of my high school contacts. A phone call from Terry Brooks led me to the site and I've spent the past hour collecting e-mail addresses.
Future Plans: I plan to grow my business, sell it, and move on to something new. Any suggestions? Please, pyramid salespeople need not respond.
Memorable Teachers: I remember the creepy math teacher (male) who tried to put the moves on my boyfriend. I had received a bad grade in algebra (probably well-deserved) and George went to schmooze the teacher so that I could stay on the cheerleading squad. Thanks, George, for your efforts. It worked!
What a hoot! I thought that Peary was just a memory...you folks are still out there.

On Saturday, Nov. 14 friends of Chip Windsor will hold a benefit for his son Ryan at Backstreets Cafe in Rockville. Chip (Class of '74) passed away in July and left behind his 12-year old son, Ryan. Backstreets is located at 12352 Wilkins Ave, Rocville, MD 20852. The benefit will begin at 8 p.m. Admission is $10 which includes Happy Hour prices and live entertainment. There will also be raffle tickets for sale for prizes, including a 25-inch color TV, a VCR and numerous other prizes donated by local merchants. I found out about the website from another Peary student. Occupation: At-Home-Mom, Spouse: Les Dorr, Jr., Children: I have two children. 12 year old daughter, who is an all honors student her name is Rachel and my son who is following in his sisters footsteps, his name is Barry and he is 9. I also have two dogs Buddy and Zippy both pomeranians.
Since High School: I worked full time until I met and married my husband in 1982. When we had our daughter, I stopped working to take care of and be available for our children. I didn't want to miss one minute of their growing up.

Swing Dancing is hot, hot hot! You've seen the Gap "Jump, Jive, and Wail" Khaki's swing commercial. You've probably seen "Swingers" and the Brian Setzer video. And you've probably read an awful lot recently about saving Glen Echo Park.
But, what could be better than combining a swing dance in the very best ballroom on the East Coast with the hot boogie woogie/jump blues sounds of Peary's own Mike Lange and Boogie Express? Come and find out why thousands of people want to save this park.
Join us at Glen Echo's Spanish Ballroom on Saturday, November 21 when Mike will bring his band and play for the crowds. The dance is organized by the all-volunteer Washington Swing Dance Committee, in cooperation with the National Park Service. The crowds have gotten to be so huge (700-800 people) that we're now holding two dances in one evening. No lines, no wait — just several hours of dancing to great live music. And, we'll even teach you the dance basics!
1st dance: 7:00 - 9:30 with a beginning level swing dance workshop. Cost: $8
2nd dance: 10:00-12:30 with no dance workshop. Cost: $8
Admission is free to both dances for those who volunteer for about one hour!
There is no partner or experience necessary and dress is casual. Glen Echo is a smoke and alcohol-free environment. People of all ages and backgrounds come to Glen Echo to learn to dance. For more information, visit www.wsdc.org.

How I found out about the website? Luck. Occupation: Medical Sales, Spouse: Karen, Children: Brian-20, Lisa-17, Grandchildren: None. I'm way to young for that!!!
Memorable Incidents: I was a member of the so called blue dot club. I can't remember what that means but I saw it in the yearbook recently and it did bring back memories. I also remember "Of Thee I Sing" like it was yesterday.
Since High School: Trying to make a living and doing the best I can!!
Future Plans: Retire young enough so that I can enjoy every minute of it while cruising around the world.
Memorable Teachers: I'll have to refer to the yearbook and get back to you.
Other alums I know about: I don't have any contact with the members of the class of 63, 64 0r 65. There are a lot of people that I would love to see again. Can you let me know who you have found.
I am looking forward to the next reunion. I couldn't attend the one in '89 so it's been since '84 that I have seen any of my old (emphasis on the old) friends from the class of '64.

Since High School: US Army 1966-70, MC -70/71. I have spent a large amount of time living/wking abroad ie: 18 yrs in SouthEast Asia, 2 years in Africa and the middle east.
Future Plans: Always open for good suggestions.
Memorable Teachers: Phylis Magrab-Phylis and I have been friends all these years, even though its been several since I last saw her.

Memorable Incidents: Sports, friends, teachers!!
Since High School: Been married 3 times as of 12th of Sept.'98. Never had any kids of my own but got the whole enchilada this time, quantum leap. I have been in the insurance/investment game for 22 years. Spent 11 years in retail mgmnt. before that. Have never left Maryland except for vacations.
Future Plans: Coping with my life changes and being over 50!
Memorable Teachers: Mr. McKie learned a valuable lesson from him I will remember always. Mrs. Richardson Was in her class when President Kennedy was shot. English teacher with great legs....can't remember her name. Coach Burlas great guy good with the kids.
Other alums I know about: Class of 1965 Janice Kuykendal married Sammy Fry from 1963 or 1964 (high school sweetheart-broke my heart), lived in area still a few years ago. Tom Galanos lives in Damascus, class of 1965.
Looking forward to a reunion, they have been so spread out I haven't taken the same wife twice.

Memorable Incidents: oh many, State Champions - football/wrestling/ Gymnastics/ Buddy Yost... Hail Peary! Mr. Clark's Homeroom... and well we were a tight class. I miss the bonding. We were a unique class. Now that I think about so was the class of 69, 70, 71, 72, 74. What a school!
Since High School: Raising a child. Making A carrerr in Marketing and Advertisement in Retail for BOAT/U.S. My own side Business "Graphics-to-Go, Banners, Signs, Logos, Boat Names, race cars, Cruise Lines, Aircraft, you name, I do it. Travel, lots of skiing... Park City Utah. Tom Hanks thinks he can snow board! Lot's of ups and downs, but mostly ups!
Future Plans: to make a Full time Business with the sign company and do a lot more travel.
Memorable Teachers: Mr. Clark, He was my homeroom teacher all through highschool. I love scotland and bagpipes. He really knew what made us tick and how to get us going... thinking... doing. I'm going to have to finish later....
