From: Lisa Salsitz (Allie Raye) afunnygirl@unforgettable.com (1981) Date: Fri, 06 Feb 1998 Subject: HANGIN' OUT WITH MRS. HALE!! Here is my lil' story of seeing my past English Teacher, my mentor, and my friend. I went to LAX to pick up Pat Hale and of course, she was the last one off the plane. She let it be known that she was talking to everyone. But I stood there with anticipation. Altho we had stayed in touch thru letters and phone calls, we hadnt seen each other in 15 years. Mrs. Hale got off the plane and we just hugged, making a scene of course. Me, the actress and her the infamous scene stealer. We talked and talked and drove into the San Fernando Valley. We had dinner and laughed and talked some more. You would never know that 15 years had gone by. She meant so much to me as a teacher in high school, even though I was a lousy student, she made a great friend. Oh, and she said I havent changed a bit. Yea right!! Anyway, I showed her the Peary Web Page and she was just so thrilled. She remembered so many students. I gave her the emailed letters I got and Mrs. Hale said to tell all of you, she will be online very soon. I told her its almost the millenium, she should get it together. It was sort of funny....I barely passed 10th grade English, and here I am in LA, a writer on my own sitcom... OH my....what was I thinking? heheh If anyone would like to get in touch with Mrs. Hale, please email me and I will send you here address.....Till then....She sends her love and so do I!!!! From LA, Lisa Salsitz (AKA...ALLIE RAYE) THOUGHT FOR THE DAY! Why do STAND-up Comediennes star in their own SIT-coms? heheeh

Future Plans: Keep the stress down, take it easy, enjoy my family more. I hardly ever have to look up words - that Latin has stood me in good stead. She was really a wonderful teacher. I also remember Ms. Vadala - English. I remember how crazy her classes were, with kids dropping books out of windows into the courtyard, and other stupid things.

From: P.J. Burnsky pburnsky@frymulti.com (1973) Date: Sat, 7 Feb 1998 Subject: FREE LUNCH? Dear Fellow Cyber-Huskies, What a country! The technological advances that the good ol USA is spearheading are awesome. You and I are witnessing a whole new way of existing due to the devise that you are staring at right now. Our ability to reach others, interact, learn, or just observe in anonymity has changed the entire nature of the way we work, play, and live. But you know, our little corner of cyberspace is fragile. The Webmaster (Bob Lau) started the little PEARY WEBSIGHT ball rolling about a year ago. And it is reaching critical mass. What he started, out of the bigness of his and other's hearts, is now a life line to our past, present, and future. Our old friendships are rekindled here. Our access to reunion info is here. Our ability to glimpse at snapshots of the human drama being played out is here. To me, this is (sometimes) very interesting and valuable. But I'm sure this Website circus is now a difficult bear for the ringmaster to wrestle with. Bob could pull the plug tomorrow. As a representative of a company that designs, maintains, and hosts websites (www.frymulti.com) I know that what they are doing is time consuming and costly. We just sit back and reap the benefits of his labors. If my company were to create and manage the PEARY WEBSITE and the MIDNIGHT SUN ONLINE (MSO) it would be about $500 to $2000 to design it and $80 per hour to maintain it. Bob and the MSO are getting zero, zip, or as we said in the good ol days...ZEAR! Just like Public Radio, I'm appealing to you to send dollars to keep this thing going. When I read a first hand account of the emotion at Danny Haynos's funeral I then began to realize what a vital and rewarding publication the MSO has turned out to be. Where else could you get that kind of personal reporting? How many times have you scanned the submitted articles of peoples pathetic existences to compare your life with these fellow classmates? What is that worth to you? Hello? Reality check! Come on, send 10, 20 bucks. If you don't, it's Pumphery's for this Cyber Husky. I don't really know Bob. But I do know that he holds the keys to this real cool vehicle. If you want to ride with the MSO, you gotta kick in some gas money, ya know? Send whatever you feel a laugh, a tear, or a memory is worth. Spread the word... Oh, and hey, "GIVE ME A 'P'; GIVE ME AN 'E'; Bla, bla, bla, yadda, yadda, etc, etc. Donate via mail: K.Lougheed-MSO, P.O.
