From: Andrew Wall awall@fusn.com(1978) Date: Wed, 21 Jan 1998 Subject: Update

I found out about this from Neal Pizzano from a phonme call regarding our reunion. Occupation: Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing Engineering / Engineering Supervisor

Memorable Incident: Leaving Home room (during class) and on my way out asking Ass't Principle Lewis if he'd like anything from McDonalds! (DO NOT try to leave by way of the front door!)

Since High School: I still live and work in the area only a few miles from the old school. I've been in the electronics business since leaving school. I am in the semiconductor equipment manufacturing business with Eaton Corporation as an engineering technical supervisor. I am a long distance motorcycle rider and have enjoyed many thousands of touring miles over the years.

Future Plans: I am currently shopping for a house.

Memorable Staff: Ass't Principle Lewis I guess. I was in more trouble during my high school years than during any other part of my life. Between him and my parents, I landed on my feet after all. I've come a long way since then and have done pretty well for myself. Knowing where I came from helps me appreciate where I am now.

I still drive by the school about once a week or so during my local travels. It really looks bad. It's hard to believe what it used to be compared to the eye sore that it has turned into. They should probably level it and create Robert E. Peary Memorial Park or something.

From: Terence Bonnell TBon@compuserve.com (1966) Date: Tue, 20 Jan 1998 Subject: Missing Class of '66 persons

I saw my name on the "Peary HS '66 missing persons list" on the internet, and thought I'd let you know that, in fact, I am not missing.

After Peary I went off to college in Boston, and then in '71 moved to L.A. where I've been working in the music/motion picture business ever since.

I return to Greencastle, Pa. (about a hour from Rockville), every summer to visit my Dad, so I've been and will be in the area, and would love to go to a reunion or birthday party (I'll be 50 in July). Please forward any info to me at the above address.

Since High School: Finished college in '71 w / BA, Divorced, Released album "Handwrought" (ITI Records) 1987, Worked on 300+ motion pictures, including: "Good Will Hunting" "Scream 2" "The Jackal" "For Richer or Poorer" etc...

I found out about the MSO via Ken Roseman (1969). Occupation: Creative Memories Instructor, Spouse: Bill Jones, Children: Robert Michael - dob 06/03/75, Steven James - dob 10/26/80; Grandchildren: Courtney Marie - 12/04/94

Since High School: Married, raised two boys, worked in the legal field for 20 years, in 1994 I began running my own home business as a Creative Memories Instructor. I needed a career with far more flexibility that the law firm could offer. I love what I do now! I teach in-home classes on how to organize your photographs and how to turn that shoebox or drawer full of photos into a safe, meaningful and creative family heirloom that will be treasured for generations to come. You must take the time to not only to save those precious photos but the memories and the stories that go with them. Having lost both of my parents at an early age I know from experience that life is often too short. I would urge everyone to record your family stories now, for generations to come.

Future Plans: I am committed to continue to grow my business, supporting others in building and growing their own home business in this field, and to make my dream of being able to provide my family with a very comfortable future, including my husband being able to retire annd enjoy even more golf than he does presently.

And Mrs. Zimmerman - and her determination to lead us all to be more mature and professional-like in our business lives.

Date: Fri, 23 Jan 1998 21:35:51 -0500 (EST) From: Eugene L. MacKay (Staff/Chemistry Teacher) GENEIS-ONE@msn.com Subject: A Memorable Student

Robert E. Peary High School was but a two year old when I arrived. Perhaps some of you remember the shared office between the two chemistry labs. Mrs. Maykuth and Mr. Zamponia were the other Chemsistry teachers.

George Bozelle was the first Chemistry Lab Squad Member. I had a lot of respect for George and I asked his advice on inviting others to join the Lab Squad. Among those members was a young blond lady named Libby Helmer.

Why does Libby Helmer stand out in my mind so vividly so many years later? Because she performed an act of thoughtfulness. She place a bit of beauty in my life ... a quiet place for my mind to wander when troubled. She entered the office one day with a large object wrapped in brown paper. It was a photo reproduction of one of Carrot's paintings in a rugged blond oak frame covered with glass. She hung that picture, a man on horseback with ancient trees arched over the narrow path of his departure.

Yesterday I hung that picture on a bare wall here in my living room. The photo is faded, extreamly faded, but my memory of that thoughtful act has not faded. I promised myself I would grant myself the pleasure of finding a crisp new Carrot replica to put that frame for a frequent reminder of one simple act of thoughtfulness.

Thank you, Libby Helmer.

From: Lynne Keady Galletti galletti@erols.com (1978) Date: Fri, 23 Jan 1998 Subject: CBS This Morning

WOW! This whole thing was sooo bizarre.....in 24 hours, we did our radio show (interviewed Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, D-NY on a current bill she is working on called the Breastfeeding Promotion and Protection Act which is a very hot topic right now), hopped in a LIMO!, flew to New York, did CBS This Morning today with Mark McEwen (what a nice guy! and he's from Maryland!), hopped in a limo and flew home...the funny thing is, nothing worked out as they planned in our travel arrangements...our flight out of BWI was cancelled, we had to argue w/the ticket lady to get on the next flight instead of waiting until the middle of the night...we got on a puddle jumper with about 6 other people, took over and organized the plane (the pilot was cracking up)....turns out, a guy from ABC is sitting in the seat behind us....we had press kits with us and asked for his opinion...he took the press kit and told the pilot (he flies this flight a lot apparently) that he was going to try to get us on Good Morning America!!! Anyway, if that's not bizarre enough, the producer in New York just LOVES us and called her girlfriend who is a book publisher in New York! Wait, it gets better... on the flight home (we are pretty tired by now and just want to get home!) the driver messes up and we miss our flight, they rush us on the next shuttle into National Airport and who is sitting near us??? Felicia Rashad, you know, Ahmad's wife... and I got to take a picture with her!!!! WOW!

Oh yeah, the topic on CBS This Morning...first of all, we were on for 6 minutes! They wanted to talk about what we thought and what were the general thoughts of our listeners and Mom's we talk to about the latest developments with president Clinton and the allegations about him and the intern!!!

Whew! What a day!

Lynne

I found out about this from Neal "The MAN Himself" Pizzano (1976). Occupation: Real Estate Broker, Spouse: Kimberly, Children: Kyle Braden 12 yrs, Morgan Briann 2 yrs, Jordan (either Noell or Noah) ...DUE 8/98!! (AND THAT BE IT FOR ME!); Grandchildren: OUCH!

Memorable Incident: Senior skip day ... Dave Filler and I, as incorrigible youths are, decided to actually skip on senior skip day (as opposed to the many other days I skipped - even when there wasn't even an occasion!) ... we were accompanied by 2 lovely ladies (I will use first names only as their parents may still not know about it & they might get in big trouble!) LINDA & KATHY...any way the day was sure to be great as the weather was beautiful & we were heading to Brighton Dam...but, first a stop to obtain some spirits (the spirits of the day then were "sangria")- sends chills up my spine to think how much conspicuous consumption took place in those days. Any ways, our place of preference was COUNTRY BOYS in Silver Spring, That particular day, the very same guy who had sold it to us youngsters on sooo many occasions said he could not sell it to us that day . WE PLEADED , saying we had girls in the car & how could we possibly face them without (as we had so hyped them up on the drive to store!) Long story short we were embarrased, the ladies were just that & they laughed, & we had a wonderful day in the sun (for a moment our masculinity was on the line & we survived) And then, there was the time Dave Filler chummed on the inside of my car on the way to the Senior Banquet, but, that's another story...

Since High School: Married Linda Tillson (1976) in '80, had son Kyle '85, divorced '89, Married Kim, now have Kyle 50% of the time, we have daughter Morgan, and one on the way!!

Future Plans: Kim & just returned from short trip to the Keys, I just returned yesterday from "Viva" Las Vegas w/ my Dad (I took him on a Father/Son trip that he and I will never forget). If you all out there have the opportunity to take time out - spend time with your folks. None of us are getting any younger - its a great way to create quality time & memories for a lifetime. Now that I am back, I have tons of work to catch up on & many client's with homes they would like me to get sold for them...so ANYONE INTERESTED IN BUYING A HOME @ THE BEACH? The Outer Banks is a wonderful place to be!

Memorable Teachers: Mrs. Luck - I later learned that I was one of thousands of "Lost Balls in High Weeds" ... Stan Boteler because he is a nice person & I like to watch movies...I still pride myself on figuring out the plot early into any movie (because, I look for the "Foreshadowing")- see, I didn't sleep through all the classes!

When I have more time I will write in more detail about what's happening on my end....For now, SEE YA!
