INTRODUCTION Greetings Huskies! This is a combined June and July 1998 issue. The MSO Newsletter is normally distributed monthly. Thanks for your patience during the relocation of the our office! Our condolences to the Wolf and Holder families. Joseph Wolf, the father of Anne Wolf Holder and father-in-law of Michael Holder (both 1972) passed away last month. Thank you to all alums who were able to lend their support to Mike Chapman (1977) whose home was lost in Gaithersburg from an accidental fire which resulted in the deaths of two children. The cut-a-thon held by Progressions Hair Salon to support the families of this tragedy raised over $8,000 and is still receiving donations. On July 6th, we remembered 18-year-old Aaron Goodrich, a victim of the unsolved Starbucks murders in Washington, DC. Aaron was the son of Larry Goodrich and Frances Scolnik Goodrich Block (both 1971) and the nephew of Bonnie Goodrich Markovitz (1975), Reva Scolnik Dunning (1975), Al Scolnik (1967), and Joyce Scolnik Allman (1965). Mintie and Park Glass are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on July 27th! Congratulations! Karen Kushner (1982), choreographer, has a show running at Rockville Musical Theater July 31 and August 1.... "Once Upon A Mattress." Hope some of you can make one of the performances! REUNIONS: The Class of 1968 is holding its 30-Year Reunion on Saturday, September 26, 1998 at the Bethesda Hyatt and the Class of 1978's 20-Year Reunion will be held the weekend of August 7. Information about these events are online. The Class of 1969 continues its plans for next year's 30th Reunion and has established a "Missing Persons" list thanks to Ken Roseman. Planning has commenced for the joint 1963/1964/1965 Reunion in the year 2000! COLORADO GATHERING: ANOTHER Rocky Mountain Gathering is in the works. Ron Bostwick (1977) has issued the call for ideas, places, and comments for the next gathering already since the Colorado event this past March was such a blast! Give Ron a call. Articles for the next issue of the Midnight Sun Online are due Saturday August 22. Submit your articles and news items directly online when you visit the home page. We want to hear from you!
