From: Brian Simpson bsimpson@aflcio.org (1979) Date: Mon, 11 May 1998 Subject: New Son

On March 25th 1998 I became a daddy for the 2nd time to James Clay Simpson. My wife Jeannie (Jean) is doing fine. My daughter who just turned two is really liking being big sister. James is doing fine. We got the name because James was my wife's dad who died of a heart attack and Clay was my dad's middle name plus mine. So we thought it would be nice for him to be named after both of our fathers, who were great dads. Born at Columbia Hospital for Women, he weighed 6lb 9oz and was 20 inches. I am just so happy to see another life come into this world.

How found? Just surfing one fine day! Occupation: second grade teacher at College Gardens E.S., Children: Madeleine Boudreau—age (almost 8), Andrew Boudreau—age 4, Grandchildren: I'm not that old yet! :o))

Memorable Incident: The incident that most stands out to me is the death of our Spanish teacher who died alone over Thanksgiving from anorexia. I can't remember how to spell her name, but was saddened at her loss to this monstrous disease.

Since High School: Being a mom, teaching, looking for a career change within the school system. Just regular, routine stuff. As of late, my neighbor and I are trying to destroy the awful bamboo that separates our yards. Any advice?

Future Plans: Hope to become a Media Specialist so that I can have fun with the kids and all of this great technology that the schools are acquiring.

Memorable Teachers: Mr. Boteler—I remember him as being a kind, gentle soul who really seemed to care about us. Ms. Vadala—for all of the obvious reasons! Mrs. Witt—for all the help and encouragement she gave to me.

Missing People? Linda Ford Bosanetti lives in Twinbrook with her husband, Tony and their 2 kids, Alison and Joseph. I work with one of her neighbors. Mary Lou Michels (don't have her married name) lives in Delaware, I think with her husband and young son. I teach with her sister in law. I really haven't kept up very well.

GREAT SITE! I'm so impressed and enjoy visiting often. Where do you all find the time to do this? I'm the webmaster for my school's homepage and it's embarrassing that nothing's been done thus far. Maybe this summer, somebody would be willing and available to help out. You all certainly have it all together.

Both parents (my mom worked at Parkland 61-88) and in-laws are alive and well; they see their grandchildren often. I really like old cars (remember Mr. Wick's interest in them) from the 50's, especially 55-57 T-Birds.

Future Plans: Stay healthy...keep learning...learn to fly other types of aircraft.

I found out about this from my brothers, john and ron. Occupation: fraud investigator, Spouse: margaret, Children: justin lee 15yr, brianna monet 5yr

HI THERE ALUM. LET ME EXPLAIN THE "SORT OF". I WAS ORIGINALLY IN THE CLASS OF 1970 BUT FAILED TO PASS ANY ONE OF THREE YEARS OF BIOLOGY. THREE YEARS OF MRS RICHARDSON DOESN'T MAKE A GOOD BOY. SO I MISSED MY GRADUATION. OH YEA. I'M THE BROTHER OF JOHN, AKA; MICKEY,1971, RON, 1977 AND PAGAN (CHRISTENSEN), 1970. SHE WAS KNOWN AS THE "PREGNANT ONE" AT GRADUATION.

MY MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT WAS GETTING CAUGHT SKIPPING HISTORY CLASS THE FIRST HALF OF THE YEAR. MR. HINES GAVE ME THE NAME OF "THE SKIPPER". CAME OUT OF IT WITH A "B". A LOT BETTER THAN BIOLOGY. REAL COOL TEACHER.

WELL ONCE I DIDN'T GRADUATE I WENT INTO THE ARMY, WITH BILL OSMOND, 1970, AND SERVED THREE YEARS. BILL STAYED IN AND MADE IT A PROFESSION. I GOT OUT, GOT MARRIED, NO KIDS, GOT DIVORCED AFTER SEVEN YEARS, (WHO EVER MADE UP THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH HAD IT RIGHT), GOT MARRIED AGAIN, (FOR THE LAST TIME). PRESENT WIFE, MARGARET, 10 YEARS, (NO ITCH), TWO KIDS, JUSTIN 15, AND BRIANNA, 6. YOU FIGURE IT OUT. IN BETWEEN THE FIRST MARRIAGE AND THE ITCH, I MOVED TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, WHERE IT "NEVER RAINS", BUT IT SURE SHAKES, RATTLES, AND ROLLS. AND IT DOES "POUR". I'M LIVING IN SANTA ANA. THE FLATLAND. I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT LANDSLIDES OR FIRES, JUST EARTHQUAKES AND FLOODS.

ONCE I GOT OUT OF THE MILITARY I CAME BACK TO PEARY AND SPOKE TO ONE OF THE COUNSELORS AND TOOK A GENERAL SCIENCE TEAT. I GOT MY DIPLOMA IN 1974. WENT TO BEN FRANKLIN U. IN WASH. D.C. FOR A YEAR. NUMBERS DIDN'T FIT IN MY HEAD. THEN WENT TO MONTGOMERY COLLEGE FOR TWO YEARS STUDYING CRIMINAL JUSTICE. MOVE TO CALIFORNIA BEFORE COMPLETING THE AA. STILL WORKING ON IT. STARTED COLLEGE OUT HERE. DIDN'T FINISH EITHER.

I BEGAN WORKING AT THE HECHT COMPANY IN MARYLAND, (SO DID MR. HINES, TALK ABOUT A REUNION!!),THEN TRANSFERRED TO THE MAY COMPANY OUT HERE. CHANGED JOBS, HAD MY OWN BUSINESS FOR THREE YEARS. HAVE BEEN IN RETAIL SECURITY FOR 20 YEARS. NOW WORKING FOR COSTCO WHOLESALE, PREVIOUSLY PRICE CLUB, AS A FRAUD INVESTIGATOR. GOT A MEMBERSHIP? BOY HAVE I GOT SOME STORIES. THERE WAS THIS GUY........IT'LL TAKE TOO LONG. LOTS OF FUN, EVEN AT MY AGE. HAVE BEEN WITH COSTCO 11 YEARS.

MADE IT TO MY 20 YEAR REUNION AND SAW A LOT OF PEOPLE I DIDN'T RECOGNIZE. HOW EMBARRASSING. I'M SURE SOME FELT THE SAME WAY. I HOPE. PAGAN WAS THER ALSO. WHAT A BLAST. LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR 30TH.

THE NEWS LETTERS ARE GREAT. HEY RON, IF YOU GET A CHANCE TO READ THIS, GOOD LUCK!!!!.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

From: Don Cornett don_cornett@hotmail.com (1967) Date: Mon, 18 May 1998 Subject: the death of a saint

i just received word that my best friend's mom died yesterday in a car wreck in laporte, colorado. alot of you might know mrs crockett-jimmy's mother. if you get a chance read proverbs chapter 31 in the bible and it will describe a godly woman-which mrs crockett was indeed. one of her greatest virtues was faithfulness. i think of the verse in 2 peter 3;9, where it says the lord is not slow about his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. to the people who know my upbringing it would be easy to question if god could do anything with me, well mrs crockett remained faithful to god and never gave up in petitioning my life for jesus. i remember in viet nam she would write me every week and tell me about jesus-her letters would always consist of scriptures and unfortunately my heart was not ready then but i know her prayers were mighty in preparing my heart for jesus, and because of that i am forever grateful to mrs crockett-i am so glad that god has given to us great mother's and grandparents who are faithful to continue to pray for us so we can remember god's wish that none of us perish. mr. david crockett is in colorado and jimmy is in hawaii. contact me for their addresses and phone numbers.

From: Constantine 'Dean' Peters deanandkaren@erols.com (1977) Date: Thu, 21 May 1998 Subject: Me and My Big Mouth !

For those of you unfortunate enough to be in the path of my huge, boisterous laugh (awarded best laugh, class of 77), here is some relieving news. I've decided to use my voice for good instead of evil (well, not so much evil, as disruption of classes).

On May 31, 1998 at 6:30 Redland Baptist Church, I will be performing a concert of Antonin Dvorak's "Biblical Songs," Opus 99. With my computer and synthesizers (toys) serving as my accompanist.

Composed in 1894 during Dvorak's stay in the States, this piece was written as self-therapy as Dvorak was dealing with the loss of his father and best friend. It is a beautiful cycle of 10 songs, covering the gammut of emotions in only 30 minutes ... and yes, they are in English (as if that ever got in my way of obfuscating the text :-).

For information about the concert, MIDI files of the actual music, lyrics, driving directions, performance notes and unforseen changes, please refer to the following URL: http://www.redlandbaptist.org/dvorak

Even if you don't attend the concert, the webpage is worth visiting as it covers a unique body of music from one of music history's more intense composers.

Okay, you've been warned ... MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW (that's May 31, at 6:30pm).

Dean
