We welcomed our first grandchild "Mia Marie Hawkins" on Feb 7, 2005. What a joy! We also have finally realized a 30 year dream to move to the country where we can raise organic food and basically get out of the DC rat race. We bought a 4 acre farm with 1850 farmhouse and a cottage and log cabin where we plan to house my father and Linda's mother. It's the family compound concept. It's located in New Windsor, Maryland, near Westminster. I am currently taking a break from rock and roll as The Sandra Dean Band played its last gig August 27. Would love to hear from anyone at dhj1954@aol.com . We still keep in touch with quite a few alumni and I'll send more info if anyone is interested. ********** From: Judy Casey (1981) Date: Thu, 1 Sep 2005 Subject: Update Look out guys, Judypalooza is on the prowl again! My divorce became final last month after 13 years of marriage. I really love my job assisting a partner in environmental/natural resource and Native America Indian legislative legal practice in Wash. D.C. A very fulfilling and worthwhile job - how many of us can say that? Life is good. ********** From: Kathryn Dunlevy-Wilson (1969) Date: Thu, 1 Sep 2005 Subject: Update I am an Associate Professor of Communications and Humanities at Aims Community College, Loveland Campus, in Northern Colorado. My husband Bascombe (Jay) is a Program Manager at FEMA headquarters in Denver, CO. ********** From: Les Greenberg (1968) Date: Thu, 1 Sep 2005 Subject: Update I found out about the website from my brother. Occupation: Attorney, Spouse: Eileen, Children: Paige-age 26, Erin-age 14, Grandchildren: Not yet Memorable Incidents: I remember Mr. Thomas' homeroom when he kept telling me and Les Goldsmith that we would never amount to anything no matter how hard we tried. I also rememberhaving a cruch on M.B. and being to shy and withdrawn to act on it. I remember Mr. Williams (pE) teacher making us run a mile and me and the Lyvers twins, Greg Hurtel and Phil Brudner hiding behind the hill near the football field after the first lap and then getting back out there when the class came by for the 4th time to finish the mile. One time we got back out there too early and we were clocked by Williams at virtually Olympic gold medal speeds. He made us run the entire four laps again. I remember buying my first surfboard from an upper classman and splitting the cost with Paul Lojewski and that one purchase started a great period in our lives that lives on and is being passed on to my kids. Great four years!!!!!!! I remember Phil Gessel and his antics in homeroom and most of all I remember the nurturing educators that gave their all so that we could compete in and learn to enjoy the world that we live in. Dave Durrett, Jens Knutsen, Bob Leffler, Dominic Vebnuto, Paul Lojewski, Sheila Wright, Patti Maynard, Chris Smith, Les Goldsmith, Phil Brudner and many others became good friends who I hope get a chance to see this and drop me a note. Since High School: Graduated with a degree in economics from Univ of Md-1972, Graduated from Columbus School of Law at Catholic University-1975 Practicing law since graduation at a small boutizue firm that specializes in civil business litigation. Moved up from associate to sole owner 14 years ago. Traveled some in europe and throughout the Caribbean and Mexico. Have second home at Bethany, DE but am usually too busy to use it. Hope to retire in 5-7 years and then use it 4-5 months of the year and spend the other time in the Caribbean. Planning first daughters wedding in June and saving for defense attorneys and bail for my 14 year old daughter that just started high school in Howard County. Future Plans: Hope to travel, garden and spend lots of time with my kids and future grandkids continuing to spoil them as best I can. Will probably reconnect with some of my high school friends with whom I was really close but have since grown apart. Would like to go back to school and take creative writing and journalism as well as photography classes. Memorable Teachers: I remember Ms. Syles(sp?) my French teacher because she was ahead of her time. She should have been modeling in New York instead of hanging around us trying to bang French into our heads. I also remember Mr. Burlas...he ws truly dedicated to the students in our school-all of them-not just the ones that were on the wrestling team. Who could forget Mr. Gibbs-the John Waters of his time..His dedication to the English department and the drama club are still legendary. Lastly I remember the librarian-Mrs. Galogley-While I rarely spent time in the library and when I did I was usually sleeping-her dimunuitive frame did not keep her from smacking those of us who wither slept or talked in the library when we were supposed to be using the Dewey Decimal System.... If any of the above mentioned people read this by chance please email me and I would love to talk to you to see how you are doing....Except Lojewski...I know he is doing just fine!!!!!!!!!!! ********** From: Maggi Szawlewicz Tumulty (1969) Date: Thu, 1 Sep 2005 Subject: Update I found out about the website from Sandy Sygeel Chapman.
