From John:
I met with four-time Tour de France cycling champion and testicular
cancer survivor Lance Armstrong on Capitol Hill in early October 2002.
Armstrong visited Washington to call for Congressional support for more
cancer research and to promote his Cycle of Hope campaign
(www.cycleofhope.org)
to encourage people diagnosed with cancer to seek
treatment sooner and participate in clinical trials.

John is founder and president of Spectrum Science Public Relations
(www.spectrumscience.com),
a health care communications firm that
developed and has managed the Cycle of Hope campaign since 1999 for
Armstrong and Spectrum client Bristol-Myers Squibb, makers of the
treatments that helped Armstrong win against cancer.
