Dear Mr. Hill,

What a privilege to wish you a "Happy Birthday."  The fact that your students and friends from Robert E. Peary High School have initiated this book of remembrances speaks volumes for the love and esteem that they have for you!  There aren't many teachers who are so fondly remembered by students and parents.

You have made a great impact on the lives of my sons.  I can remember coming into your classroom on Parent Visitation Day when John was one of your students and thoroughly embarrassing him by our presence.  You made us feel welcome in spite of John John wanting to crawl under his desk.  Your recommendation for David's participation in our church's traveling theater group  (Tent Troupe) and your attendance at the performance was greatly appreciated.

Your love and concern for each and every student - even if you did not have them in your class, not only makes you a great teacher but a wonderful human being.  It's too bad, we the parents, forget to let our teachers know how grateful we are for all they give to their students.  Thank you for all you have done for everyone who knows you.  You are a very special person!
