Dear Mr. Hill,
First, Happy 75th Birthday! Wishing you a very happy
day and a wonderful year ahead!
Second, I'd like to thank you for having created a classroom
environment that that was so full of optimism, challenge humor, and inspiration.
You created a classroom in which every student was
inspired respectfully and challenged.
I used to eagerly anticipate your bonus questions and your
thought of the day. I don't recall if this is exact, but I can hear you saying,
"You have to crawl before you can walk.
My husband Dave and I have two children and frequently
discuss their education. I always bring your name into the conversation in
the hope that Elise, 7, and Stephen, 3¾, are fortunate to have teachers who can
challenge and inspire them like you did me. Thank you!
