Sgt. Bruce Prothero (1982), a Baltimore County police officer, passed
away on Monday February 7, 2000 during a robbery attempt while
working as a security guard at a Pikesville, MD jewelry store.  He was
35 years old.  The 13-year veteran is survived by Ann Warman Prothero (1984) and five children (including triplets).  Several of Bruce's siblings also graduated from Peary.  Bruce was the youngest of eight.

A memorial fund was established by the Robert E. Peary High School
Alumni Association, Inc. for the five children and the donations were forwarded to the family.

A bouquet was delivered to the family by the MSO on behalf the Alumni Association and all Peary Alumni.  The Robert E. Peary High School Alumni Association made a gift of $3,487 to the Bruce Prothero fund. Thanks so much to all the alumni who contributed to help Ann and her children.
