Bob Lau (1976) Reprises Role on NBC's Homicide
Writers for the NBC series Homicide: Life on the Street
brought back Bob's Process Server role for an episode that aired on January
16, 1998. Bob's character busted-in on three scenes throughout the episode
"Shaggy Dog, City Goat" to serve court papers to the detectives and the M.E.
Bob was everyone's bad news in this episode, which was directed by cast
member Kyle Secor, and guest stared Steve Allen and Jayne Meadows Allen.
Fellow alums gathered at Uncle Jed's Roadhouse in Bethesda, MD to watch the
broadcast. Arch Campbell (WRC-TV) and the cast were invited to watch with
us; however, this was the weekend of the Golden Globe Awards on the
West coast. One recurring character of the series attended, Stefan
Alexander, who plays an evidence technician, and also appeared in the first
episodes of the series with Robin Williams and Ned Beatty.
