ALLISON ONDRASIK KING, Class of 1971
Allison Ondrasik King, beloved wife of Patrick King, died of cancer on August
17, her 54th birthday. She
also leaves her parents, Pally and Ed Ondrasik of The Villages, FL, stepson and
daughter-in-law Marc and
Pam King and granddaughter Lauren Nicole King of Herndon, VA; brother and sister
in law, Michael and
Kate Ondrasik of Orlando, FL; sister and brother in law Bobbi and Roger Manuel
of Satellite Beach, FL;
sister in law Pam Singleton of Virginia Beach, VA, plus aunts, uncles, cousins,
nieces and nephews and
numerous friends and colleagues.
Mrs. King was born in Havre de Grace, MD, in 1953; graduated from Peary High
School in Rockville, MD;
earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Western Maryland College,
and a master's degree in
Library Science from the University of Maryland.
She was a reference and instruction librarian at the University of Central
Florida's joint library on the Brevard
Community College campus in Cocoa; and an award-winning author of "DataMap," a
reference book for
librarians. She was listed in Who's Who of American Women in 1984 and
1987; in the International Who's
Who of Professionals in 1997, in Who's Who Among Executive and
Professional Women in 2003. A list
of her honors, publications, and presentations fills 14 pages.
A memorial service for Mrs. King will be held at Florida Memorial Funeral Home
Chapel, 5950 S. U.S. Hwy #1,
Rockledge, FL 32955, on Wednesday, August 22, at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in Allison King's memory
be made to William Childs

All,
I wanted to try to touch base with all of Allison's friends and mine that I have
not already reached. The Love of
my life and my best friend is with God now. I will forever miss her dearly.
Allison fought hard to beat the Cancer
that she has been fighting for over eight years now. She passed away peacefully
last Friday at 7:37PM. I would
encourage donations not only to the Hospice mentioned but also to the Relay For
Life that Al and I have been
actively involved with for years.
