WELCOME!
We have found a way and made one for the Peary GLBTA to commune....

Michael has created a discussion group online at the egroups service, specifically for Peary Alumni,
where classmates may visit to read and discuss topics related to GLBTA.  It is a moderated site --
and you must subscribe to participate.  New members *must* send a brief bio, provide their real
name, year of Peary graduation, and why they want to join the group.  The moderator will terminate
any account that becomes vulgar, flaming, hostile environment creating, overtly sexual and cruising,
defaming of anyone's sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, spirituality, ability,
education, ethnicity, culture, color, class, status, race.

From Michael:  "My purpose in being a laid back sort of section volunteer is to create the kind of
atmosphere where Peary's GLBTA folks could find each other and form a community of diversity which
enhances their/our personal and social lives so that we have roots, and can enjoy more fully the benefits and
privileges of the heritage of our high school and connections with GLBTA high school peers.

I imagine that there must also be Peary graduates whose kids or spouses, siblings, or parents, are gay,
lesbian, bisexual, and transgender who'd like to be in discussion and know of community actions and events.
(These folks are known as "PFLAG" -- parents, friends and family of lesbian and gay people.)"
