The Peary High School Alumni Running Club

To any alumni who may be interested, a couple of people have expressed
an interest in forming a Peary Running Club. We envision it as being
very laid back with no membership fees. If interested, you can purchase
a Peary Running Club tee shirt for $7.50 and join us at any of the many area road races.
All ages and levels of talent are welcome and any family members of alumni are
encouraged to join as well. Enjoy a little camaraderie at the races, an occasional social
gathering, and demonstrate your allegiance to your alma mater to the general public.

If interested, contact John Golsen ('82) or Hank Fox ('83).

First Race, August 31, 2002 (L-R): Mike Smith '84, John Holten '82, Tom Smith '83,
John Golsen '82, Hank Fox '83, Kevin Harris '84, Kenny Edwards '81, & Dana Thibeau '83

From John Golsen (9/17/02):

The Peary Running Club got off to a rousing start on August 31st in the Kentlands 5k in Gaithersburg. Since
then, about 10 more individuals have expressed an interest in joining. The next race for those interested is the
Rockville 5k on October 13th in the King Farm Development off of Redland Road. Peary Running Club Tee
shirts can be ordered through Hank Fox ('83).

Again, this is a very informal club. Our sole objective is to get as many alumni, family and friends together to enjoy
a little physical activity and catch up on old times. This is not a competitive team environment, so don't be intimidated
if you're interested. For more details, contact us:
John Golsen ('82), John Holten ('82 - hotmail acc't invalid),
or Hank Fox ('83).
