Help us track-down 1980 Missing Persons!

A Get-Together at the Outta The Way Café (Derwood, MD) was held on Thanksgiving
Friday evening, 2006 - which allowed us all one more opportunity to come together before
the end of our 25th Reunion Year and was especially targeted for those who were unable
to make 25th Class Reunion back in June.  A casual evening with friends, fine food, and
spirits was had!

25-year Reunion Plans for 2005-  DONE!
The Friday happy hour was at That's Amore on June 24th and your main event was on
Saturday June 25th at the B-CC Rescue Squad.  For all the scoop, see the Class of 1980
website, maintained by Jeff Torri, at http://www.pearyhs1980.org !

From your reunion committee, Sat. July 9, 2005:

Dear Classmates:

WOW! After having time to reflect on our reunion experience and receiving feedback from those who attended, it was truly enjoyable and great seeing everyone come together as a family once again after so many years.  Not only was great to connect with old friends, but also to make the acquaintance of spouses and people that I hardly knew in high school.  People have changed physically (damn those gray hairs!), but our hearts are still the same...there were many reminders of youthful times, but also amazing stories of current successes and family. Thank you to everyone who attended our Class Reunion activities on June 24-25!

A special note of thanks to the following people who put their time and effort into planning this reunion:  Grant Wagner, Bob Thompson, Jeff Torri, Tim Wheeles, John Husband, Wendy Chornock-Streight, Lisa Puhl-Mohler, Jeff Ulisney, Terry Kernan, Bob Slowey and Linda Lyons-Drager (Fishbein).  A very special thank you to Gerry D'Ascoli for hosting our happy hour at That's Amore' on Rockville Pike and to Bob Lau (Midnight Sun Online Webmaster) for organizing the all-class reunion held at the Outta the Way Cafe.

For those of you who were unable to attend the reunion events, you were sorely missed by all.  It is with regret that we were unable to find every person on our missing persons list, but I have to say a huge effort went into finding as many people as possible by committee members, the MSO, and classmates combined.  We will continue this effort in the future.  You can all help by keeping your e-mail / contact information up to date through either the 1980 Website or the MSO Online. Also encourage other classmates that you encounter from time to time to do the same.

Please check out the photos that were submitted from the reunion events on the Class of 1980 website and feel free to submit your own photos of the reunion events or photos from our high school years. We plan on keeping the class website going, so please keep checking back and let us know if you have any suggestions.

Rumor has it we are looking at Vegas for 2010??  What a great way to celebrate 30 years! We will start planning early for this one so that everyone can plan to be there. If you’d like to help in the planning of our 30th Class Reunion or if you have “connections” in Las Vegas, please contact Bob Thompson (bob@netsys-america.com).

Please keep in touch with each other and take care!

Sincerely,

Janet Peters

and will also be updated and posted on our new website (
http://www.pearyhs1980.org). All alumni on this|
list are considered missing with either partial or no contact information on file.  As you can see, we have a
|long way to go in obtaining contact information for missing classmates and are requesting everyone’s help in
completing our contact database. As a token of our appreciation for your help, we are offering FREE
reunion admission to any classmate/s who provides updated contact information for ten (10) or more missing
classmates. Please send your missing classmate contact information to Janet Peters or submit through our website at

Pictures old and new are being collected for use in a reunion slide show and for our online photo album.
Send photos (please keep to a reasonable number) of yourself or friends from high school. You may also
include recent photos of 1980 grads with friends and family. Include information about the pictures (who,
what, when) and names, ages, etc. You can easily convert paper photos to email photos. This service is
available at some drugstores, camera stores, or through your local computer/photography expert. Send your

Class of 1980 Charitable Organization Idea

Bob Thompson has suggested the creation of a non-profit Robert E. Peary Class of 1980 Foundation to
provide assistance, financial and support services to graduates of the Robert E. Peary High School Class of
1980 and their immediate families in times of need and sorrow. If created, the Foundation would solicit
charitable (tax-deductible) donations from graduates of the Class of 1980 and all other interested parties to
cover its operating costs and to provide financial and support services. More information will be available at
the reunion. If interested in the mean time, please contact Bob at bob@netsys-america.com.
