Dear Class of ’77:

The PHS 30th Reunion has been set for Saturday, August 11, 2007 for an evening get
together at Manor Country Club in Rockville. Tickets are $60 per person and include dinner,
dancing, and a raffle. A Friday evening 'happy hour' and Sunday brunch are also planned.

For a successful reunion weekend and memory book, we are asking for Peary memorabilia,
old and new photos, raffle items and services, and your advertisements. We are making
every effort to organize a fun and memorable evening and weekend while keeping prices
and expenses low. If you have a business or service that you would like to advertise, or if you
have an item or service to donate for the raffle please let us know! The next e-mail update will
provide a link to Paypal so that you can purchase a ticket, make a donation, and buy an ad for
the memory book. We already have received commitments for 4 ads!

What is more lasting than the memories from the 30th reunion…contributing to a good cause
and giving back to our community! All reunion net proceeds from ads, donations, and the
Saturday evening raffle will be donated on behalf of the Peary High School Class of 1977 to
the Montgomery Hospice and the Casey House. This very special and important organization
in Montgomery County was selected to be the recipient of our reunion net proceeds because
most of us have been (or will be) touched by the services they provide. The 50/50 raffle at the
Friday night happy hour will benefit the Midnight Sun Online, also a worthy cause. So, please
be generous with your donations knowing it will benefit a wonderful cause and even if you are
unable to attend the reunion, you may make a donation.

Save the date and help to get the word out to fellow graduates. Encourage all 77’ Alumni that you
know to update and register with the MSO or send an e-mail to PearyHS77reunions@yahoo.com!
Please feel free to contact committee members if you have a question, a concern, a great idea, or
a request! We have a great committee assembled and are working very hard to bring you a great
30th reunion!

We look forward to seeing you in August, thanks for your support!

The 25-Year Reunion: PHOTOS

From Sandy VanDusen, 10/13/02:

Dear Classmates of 1977/1976,

I wanted to publicly thank you all for coming out last nite to the joint reunion event. It was a wonderful time for those of us in attendance! Many friendships were rekindled...in some cases, folks had not seen one another in 25 years!

I want to extend my personal gratitude to my fellow attendees for their kindness and, in many cases, extreme generosity. Due to not meeting the hotel minimum for a variety of reasons, I walked in to the event last nite standing to lose about $4,000 between me and Neal Pizzano. Once the bar bill was totaled and the last minute registrations tallied, the out-of-pocket total was only $2,000 facing both Neal and I. I humbly requested that those who could last nite please "pass the bucket" and chip in something to lessen the blow for us. And gratefully, many came thru for us in a tremendous fashion! Our final out-of-pocket total was $508!! I am blessed with these friends and incredibly thankful for their extreme generosity.

The Class of '77 plans to have an event for the 27.5 anniversary in the hopes that those who could not make it last nite will be able to do so in the future. The venue will be entirely different...on to casual and hopefully at the school! I hope that many will step forward (thanks to those last nite who volunteered!) and help coordinate this. It works soooo much better with a full committee versus two people. We will begin work probably in the next 18 months on this. Let me know if you wish to help and how to contact you when the time comes.

Please keep this in mind and to ensure that you are kept abreast....make certain you always update here at the MSO so we can find you! You can always email me at sandy_vandusen@yahoo.com as well.

My sincerest heartfelt thanks to you all!
Sandy Van Dusen
