I was a graphic designer for years. While pregnant with my first child, I was forced to freelance because of complications. Three years later, I had another child and was a stay-at-home full-time mother, loving every minute of it. The art field became so computer graphic oriented and I did not stay up with the technology. I did volunteer lots of my time with my children's elementary school in Olney. I am now hired as an Instructional Assistant with the Montgomery County School System. I have been with Olney Elementary School these past two years and hopefully will continue to be with them. I am a permanent employee for Montgomery County, just not for Olney Elem. I love my job and am enjoying my children and family. |

the best and why |
The faculty members I remember best are Kathi Sheehy, our cheerleading sponsor, Barbara Pearlman, our gymnastic coach and Meda Mitchell, a wonderful person. My son was named after her. Meda and I have kept in touch with each other. She considered herself as Mitchell and Jaimee's aunt (as well as we did) but we've lost touch of each other over the past two years. I fear the worst. I'd love to hear from her again!!! |
