what I've been

After HS I graduated from U of MD in '78. I spent my jr. year of college in Germany at a German University. After that I spent about 5 years in Accounting and Financial Analysis. I stayed home for the next 15 years with my son, Chris. Of course, stay at home moms don't really stay at home. I spent most of my time volunteering everywhere; school, church, community. At the end of the century I returned to the "working world" doing research and analysis for a non-profit group. After 3 years I decided to return to grad school and began teaching. That brings me up to today, where you will find me either teaching German in Arlington County or attending classes at George Mason University (GMU). By the way, that junior at GMU who looks a lot like me, he's my son (poor kid)! |
