Only 15% of alumni aboard the MSO since 1996 have provided assistance to keep this 11-year-old project alive!  We learned, too, that many alumni were not advised of the 10-Year Anniversary party April 2007 (the anniversary was actually August 2006) held in MD that we flew back for, and organized (secretly planned) by Sandy Swarr Crawford (1974) on behalf of MSO.. and a surprise to us with a gift and wonderful placard!  Thank you.  Your help is appreciated to assist with the MSO's costs and efforts to keep us connected!  Thank you for your consideration.

The perfect gifts for alumni friends!

Thank you to Stuart Goldman, Class of 1981,

OMG - I obviously now know why I was told I had to be in Maryland the weekend of April 28th and to the Champions Billiards in Frederick.  I wish to quickly say THANK YOU to all who participated with this surprise multi-class party in celebration of the Peary MSO 10-year anniversary (August 2006) and to all the class coordinators who sent the details of the party out to their respective classmates.  I am surprised none of you spilled the beans to me about this!  I will post some photos of the event and the wonderful plaque received.  Thank you for your gifts.  I maintain the MSO only so that there is a "place" for alumni and old friends to stay in touch.  I was deeply touched and "uncomfortably honored" by this party, and am grateful for the surprise.  I'm still flabbergasted at what went into planning this (apparently since last fall), by Sandy Swarr Crawford (1974).  Thank you, Sandy.  Now that I'm back home to Nevada... I believe I have some major catching-up to get to on MSO!  With deep appreciation for this kind honor and gesture,
Bob Lau - MSO - 4/30/07

Hi Folks - No need to keep resubmitting - thanks for your patience.
We're working on updates from NOVEMBER 2006, so if you submitted an e-mail address change or are a new alum who came aboard and don't see these changes and additions yet - that's why!  Backlogged updates will be caught-up and another newsletter edited and distributed soon.  The last MSO newsletter was distributed July 2006.  In August 2006, MSO celebrated its 10-year anniversary.   Thank you for your continued support and thanks to those who send donations to keep this project alive!  MSO has several hundred more individual classmate updates/data to process (maybe some of them are dupes that keep making that number grow - please don't keep submitting them over and over) - we're getting there! -- Bob Lau, MSO - January 2008

Most of you recall that John Horvat, Class of 1969 and Staff 1971-1984, passed away
October 23, 2005.  His plot at Parklawn Memorial Gardens (Veirs Mill Road) needs a
headstone.  A few Peary alums and members of the Wheaton Rescue Squad are
taking-on the challenge to raise the money needed to purchase the headstone with
your help.  Joe Chornock (1972) has set up an account for this - contributions can
be made to "The John R. Horvat Memorial Fund" c/o Nikki Jensen, M & T Bank,
